Perfect for the Big Storm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Goal Zero Yeti 700 power station helped us through a recent snow storm when we lost power and what a lifesaver it was! We were able to charge our devices, plug in a portable heater and power our phones in case we needed to contact emergency services. This power station gave us peace of mind during the storm and also was able to provide us the necessary power to keep us warm until our power came back on. We will use the Goal Zero Yeti in our trailer when we go camping to power our phones and fans when we dry dock. What a great resource and must have item for every homeowner.

Hard pass- returned after 7 weeks

This is a disappointing product that can’t be relied upon for consistent power. I purchased this after buying a cheap Chinese off brand 600w power station and assumed this would be more reliable, faster charging, and capable of keeping a vehicle fridge (Iceco) going. The only thing this does better than my cheap Pecron is look nicer. Of note to anyone hoping to utilize one of these for extended vehicle (“overland”) travel, you have to buy a separate $40 12V plug/harness. And the reviews on that are rightfully negative, it refused to accept a charge for a lot of my time on the road, leading me to end up with my Pecron plugged into the vehicle to keep the Goal Zero alive and running the 20qt fridge. I brought it home, inside, and plugged it into the wall and it went from 20% to 70% in 90 seconds. Boxed it right up and returned it all after 7 weeks.

Love it

This thing is amazing. I use it to power my Traeger on the beach and Skylight. Super impressed with the improvements on this too. The flaps over the connections are nice in our salty weather and when out in the rain. I feel like it charges faster too on the Nomad 100. I'm always either charging or using this thing. Grateful to have power on the go as it's perfect to always carry in the back of the truck or in our backyard.

Well worth it!

I have used a Yeti 500 on numerous occasions but it was never enough for what I wanted/needed and a 1000 was just too much for what I needed. So when the 700 was introduced I was stoked! It was a true Goldie Locks story as it was juuuuust right! So far, this thing is awesome. It Charges up quickly, works well, and is very easy to use. When paired with my Yeti 50W solar panel, it keeps it topped off so it can last through my camp trips (2-3 days) with no problem. I’m sure it would last even without the panel attached. I’ve even used it multiple times to power my Traeger grill as I don’t want to run a long extension cord for it from my garage. When being used for about an hour on the highest setting it only uses about 7% of the battery. Overall I’m stoked about this product and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Zero reliability

I bought this as an upgrade from a Yeti 400 which I loved and served me well. It has been so frustrating to use I have lost all hope in Goal Zero. The fast charge works whenever it feels like it, which never coincides with when I need it to. The inverter keeps showing an overload sign without anything plugged in. The firmware update process is as unpredictable as the rest. There is no comprehensive user manual or troubleshooting guide. I live abroad and chose to buy this because of my previous experience with the brand and now I own a 7kg paperweight. I used to think the premium you paid over the coopetition was worth it. Not anymore. Check other alternatives. If I could I would return it immediately.
