Incorrect fabric description. The garment tag clearly states 47% poly, 38% wool and 15% elastane but REI description shows 53% wool, 44% poly, 3% elastane. I don't believe this is a mistake. I have been purchasing Smartwool and Ice Breaker product for years but both companies have been reducing the amount of merino wool in their garments and inject cheaper man made plastic in their finished product. This is unacceptable.
Bought for cycling even though they're meant for running. Loose enough to fit bike shorts under but not loose enough to billow in the wind. Good length—didn't restrict pedaling at all.
Very comfy, very warm. Great fit & stretch allowing for full range of motion. The waistband is low profile & secure yet comfortable. They layer really well under the skinniest of pants I own (Fjallraven Abisko Trail Hybrid) without being painted on like typical baselayer bottoms. I'm 6' 2" tall, ~165-170lbs. & the medium provides exactly the right length for coverage down to my ankle & fits comfortably w/o the need to use the integrated drawstring at the waist. Large works as well for a bit more of a relaxed fit, but will be picking up another of the medium for my 3rd set. I've been wearing them pretty much everyday it's below ~45F outside since I got them. With these as a base & thin nylon cargos over the top I'm plenty warm mostly sedentary down into the low 20s F. Add a light weight merino tight style base under & I'm good down to around 0F w/o any binding/restriction of movement. Only complaints are the price; they can be a bit grabby to get on; & it would be great if there was a fly on them so I didn't have to undo my belt & outer layer fly & haul my entire package over the waistband to relieve myself.
I really like these but the inseam is very long. I typically wear a 30 or 32 inseam, but these are closer to a 34. They are too long in the crotch and in the legs so bag up around the cuff a little. I am 5'10"" 150lbs slim athletic build and ordered the small, they're perfect in the waist so I bet someone of the same build but 6' or taller would fit perfectly. I don't think I will return them as I still enjoy wearing them but they just aren't quite as ideal fitting as my older Adidas training pants. The fabric blend is nice and has tons of stretch. The zippered pockets are essential for making the pockets actually useful. And the reflective patch, though not particularly stylish, does make them nice for the ""jogging"" aspect of these joggers.
Colorado trail runner. Love these running tights so much I bought two pair. Very warm and like the wind blocking material on the front thighs. I wear these in deep snow and down to 10 degrees (at which point I run on a treadmill). They are a little long for my 30"" legs, that's my only complaint; but, I fold them up at the ankle and really haven't been bothered. I don't have to wear anything under them to stay warm, other than normal underwear I also bought the active fleece quarter zip and jacket. The entire ensemble is great!
Very comfortable pants. I like that the pockets have zippers.
I really want to like these pants. The fabric is nice, the waistband is comfortable, and the features are good – but the sizing is stupid. They're so long that they bunch at my ankles, but the waist would likely be too small on a small. I thought maybe I could make them work so tried them on a run – now I'm stuck with weird-fitting expensive pants.
I love these! I wear them for all kinds of occasions. My main reason for getting them was to teach tennis in them. The club I teach at tends to be cold but these joggers keep me nice and warm. My only regret is, I didn't get the black ones too!
These are great for everyday lounge and outdoor wear. Fit is great, they are warm on cool days/nights! Will be getting a second pair for sure.
Really great fit. Would recommend ordering a size up to avoid snug cuffs. Very comfortable for everyday wear with moderate activity.
