Warm and well made.
Warm and well-made. I use these for snowshoeing. I wear a pair of thermal underwear below these and stay warm. I wish they had a second small pocket on the opposite side.
Men's Active Fleece Wind Tight
These are, hands down, the best running, snowshoeing, cold weather activity tights that I own. The fit is snug but perfect. I'm 6' 211 lbs, athletic build, and these fit great. The draw string holds them in place without slipping or dropping. The legs go all the way to the bottom of my ankles which is great. The tights are incredibly warm even on windy days in the single digits. The interior is soft, warm and wicking while the exterior is covered in wind blocking material. The zippered ankles are also a plus to prevent my feet from catching and snagging while putting them on. For care, I've done the delicate cycle, cold water and extra low dry and have experienced any shrinking. Overall, I would highly recommend these for cold weather activities.
Nice heavyweight tights for cycling.
I've been buying bicycle clothing for forty-five years and using them on a daily basis for year around commuting. These are so far some of my favorites. Soft and warm. I love the feel. The only issue has been that for some reason Smart Wool chose to use a very stretchable elastic for the waist draw cord. It doesn't do it's job, so I will replace it on my own. Time will tell about how well they wear. But as for now fingers are crossed. I will be wearing them tomorrow morning. Fourteen degrees forecast.
Disappointed about fit
I am tall and skinny (6'2"", 165lbs). The mediums are loose in some areas and not long enough for me. It seems like I would need a small size for width, with the length of the large size. The quality looks great and they seem like they'd be warm and comfy, they just don't fit my body type, unfortunately.
These tights are amazing
I use these tights for winter cycling, paired with a great pair of cycling shorts with chamois. These are great!! The wind break panels keep my leg temps consistent no matter the conditions and the merino layer provides exceptional comfort and warmth with excellent breathing features. They are amazing!!
Love the fit and functionality!
I use this for cold-weather runs and cross-country skiing. Form-hugging and not too tight. I LOVE the slip pocket for my phone. This is long overdue for the men as women have had this option for years. Why did it take so long?? Well done, smartwool
Incredible performance at fair price
2nd pair of these says it all...have used trail running / snow-shoeing in Quebec, Oregon, Montana, Vermont and Iceland...high performance, great fit (love the zippers at the ankles as I have huge calves), durable. Worth the price
Great cold weather running tights
I run year round and these are great cold weather tights. They keep you warm and block the wind. Love the zippers at the ankles, drawstring, and the cell phone slot though it could be just a touch larger.
These pants are extending my workout season
I wear these over Endura cycling shorts and Woolie Boolie socks. They're flexible, warm, and I don't think about leg warmth at all. Most of my workouts are 90 min and even w 10 mph winds I'm comfortable.
