Nice but seams were not up to bike touring
I don't see "made for cycling" in the description here so they deserve at least 4 stars, but I wanted them for that and they were in the store among the cycling garb. I wanted something for colder days riding (below 50F) rather than my winter tights that are good below freezing. These might work great for that. I like the fit, the look of these tights, and they are super comfortable. Unfortunately, I am sewing the crotch back together repeatedly. Maybe if I were just hiking and xc skiing, they would be a 5 star.
Stayed warm
Great buy. I use them for cold jogs in mountainous areas. No issues with them. I love the back pocket for my keys.
Not what I expected
These tights do not have ankle zippers. The two pockets are tiny. More like long underwear and “fleece” is not the word I would use to describe them. The only smartness I can find in this Smartwool product is in REI’s marketing. They are warm to be so thin. Would not buy again.
