One Layer, From Sea Level to Summit
I brought my Rho Crew Neck Long Sleeve with me to the Big Island and it quickly became a go-to piece. I wore it on the plane, around Hawaii in ~24°C weather, and all the way up to the Mauna Kea summit at nearly 14,000 ft with strong winds and temperatures around 0°C. What really impressed me was how breathable it is. I never felt overheated in the warmer conditions, yet it kept me comfortably warm at the top of the volcano when the temperature dropped. The fabric adapts incredibly well across a wide range of conditions. I also love the stretch, it's comfortable, moves easily with you, and layers perfectly without feeling restrictive. This is a versatile, well-designed layer that performs just as well in travel and everyday wear as it does in extreme environments.
Worth every penny
I had got this on Black Friday as an impulse purchase. I had heard great things of the brand and liked the color. Could not recommend more, the fleece lining is perfect for the cold Midwest days and skiing- I wear just that under my North Face parka and have survived the recent single digit days
Very disappointing fit for new version Winter24/25
The new winter 24/25 fit is really uncomfortable - too tight around the ribs and gaping at the waist. I have to constantly pull it down as it rides up, despite sizing up from my usual small to a medium but it is still really unpleasant to wear. I am really disappointed as I love the Stratus colour and would buy 4 or 5 of these base layers for the winter if the fit was the same as last year's version - the fit for winter 23/24 was perfect.
Pretty, but sizing is different this year
Love the fabric and the color, soft, stretchy, but agree with other reviewers that the sizing has changed. I wear an XS in all my Arcteryx gear and this one was pretty tight on me in the armpit and chest so I will be sizing up to a size S instead. Luckily it is still in stock in Phantasm which is a nice deep eggplant color!

Excellent shirt. Very cozy and warm. No rubbing. Can be worn on its own or as a base layer. I love the color and the fit. It's very stretchy and comfortable.
Great shirt but fits small
Agree with other reviewers that this is a great shirt but the 2025 version fits smaller than previous versions, recommend sizing up to fit like on the models. I am usually between a small and an XS in Arcteryx shirts, I bought this in a small and it is tight. I would exchange it for a medium but sadly they are sold out. The aster azealea colour is spectacular, true to the photos.m
the good old days...
I’m a big fan of Arc’teryx and want everything they make! I really wanted to love this base layer, but I still prefer the older version. It was super lightweight and versatile—I could wear it comfortably in both winter and summer. I wish Arc’teryx would bring the old version back. As I always say: if it’s not broken, let’s not fix it!
Great for ice skating!
I bought one of the Rho Crew Neck tops and it is dreamy! As an ice skating coach, I wanted to wear it all the time, so I just bought another. This shirt is perfect--the fit, it's warm but not hot, and it keeps me dry during activity. They were a splurge, but well worth it!
Runs small, very soft
Definitely size up, I regret buying a large. It’s very soft and comfortable. It kept me very warm as a base layer. I had on this base layer, a medium warmth vest, and warm puffy jacket and it kept me warm in 6 degree weather. I wish it had thumb holes, though.
Perfect Gift
Bought this shirt as a birthday gift for a friend. She wore it on a cold, windy hike today & said she loved it. Good fit, soft & cozy. I got the lilac color & it looked very good on her, too.
