Great Boots!

The fit is same as the La Spotiva Raptor’s I purchased roughly 2 years ago. They are more of a narrow fit. I have narrow feet, so this is perfect for me. Currently, breaking in for upcoming backpacking trips Summer/Fall 2025. So far, after a week of testing, no hot sports! Comfortable right out of the box. Traction great in muddy, wet and rocky terrains. Soft, stabilizing, sturdy and I have PTTD (Doc keeps mentioning surgerical repairs.). I can go miles as long as I’m wearing my Raptor’s. Keepers for sure! Hoping these continue to keep my condition stable so NO surgery! **Hope they come out with a purple!

Excellent fit for a narrow foot

I always have trouble finding a pair of boots that fit well but these are great! My foot is narrow and that doesn’t help but this Boot makes me feel like a new woman! Great boots

Made Well

I’ve used these boots many times backpacking and hiking since I purchased. They have provided me with sturdiness and ankle protection. Great grip on rocky, steep and slippery terrains. The only thing I don’t like is that they’re heavy. But I’ll keep wearing them! The benefits it outweigh the weight to me.

Soaked in 5 min of snow even with gaiters

Comfortable out of the box, lightweight, and great grip. If you want a dry-trail or light-rain boot, these are great. The waterproofing did not hold up for me in snow. Any time I've worn these in even just light snow, my feet are completely soaked after about 5-10 minutes. I tested this with knee-high gaiters that fully sealed the boot collar, so no snow or water was getting in from above and my feet were still soaked within 5-10 minutes of walking in snow. This happened repeatedly on many hikes, both on a 11 day trek to Everest Base Camp (which ended up leaving me with 5 days of wet feet) and at home in BC in even small amounts of snow. Since gaiters ruled out entry from the top, I assume this points to the membrane, seams, or sole/welt construction failing under direct snow contact,. They also dry very slowly once wet, which compounds the problem on multi-day treks. Great boot for dry trail hiking. Do not rely on the GTX rating if you expect any real snow or water crossing performance. I would not buy these again knowing what I know now given that I encounter snow in BC most of the year.
