Sizing Notes
For boots: Add one half size to your street shoe size. You should be able to slip one finger behind your heel when you are standing up with the boot unlaced and your toes touching the front. If the boot is too short, your toes will get smashed walking downhill. Too long and your heel will slide up and down and give you blisters.

Extremely bad design
I have a pair of La sportiva that I use for up to 7000m (23,000 feet) peaks that are wonderful. I purchased this pair for a 4000 m (13,000 feet) climb. The design is extremely bad and flawed. First, it cuts off at the middle of the tibia and due to its thickness it creates a constant pressure. Second, it has a material flap that needs to be closed on top of the tibia. This flap is very very tight and add extra pressure to the already difficult design. You cannot wear it without closing it because it dangles and it’s very unsafe to walk especially if you use crampons. Because it was so tight, submit night was a nightmare due to longer time using the boot and higher altitude that can lead to swollen feet. Keep in mind that I also got a size bigger than I usually wear for confirm that that still didn’t help. I had to ice my foot for a few days after. I won’t be using these shoes any longer.
