Close but No Cigar

I've been looking for a warm, casual winter "parka" - something longer than a standard jacket. The Wyldefire description sounded perfect to me. When it arrived, I tried it on and it fit perfectly, with adequate space for layering if needed. To my surprise and disappointment, it did not have a two-way zipper. I must have missed that fact, as I would never have ordered it without one. I did try wearing it in the car and it immediately tightened awkwardly from the tension caused by the inability to zip up from the bottom to give space for sitting with a long parka on. So far, I'm batting 0 for 3 -- parkas that I thought would do well, but failed for lack of a key attribute. My search goes in. Note: I did not get to try the jacket for warmth, but I believe it would stand up well in cold weather.

Finally, a perfect Parka -its better than advertis

If you are looking for a parka for work and casual - not ski slopes - this is perfect. The hood fits your head without a helmet correctly. The coat zips to the chin. The hood strings are held in a great metal “catch” and make the hood fit well. The main zipper is very strong and covered with a flap that snaps. The strip with the snap allows your fingers under that strip to make it easy. The 4 pocket zippers are waterproof.. There is a large inside pocket for gloves. Although it is “waxed”, it is soft and pliable. It is long enough to keep wind blowing up under. The top of the cuff is the sleeve material and the bottom is elastic - keeping the cuff tight but looking professional. It is WARM, just as rated. The fit is exact. The website does not do this parka justice.

Warm and stylish!

My brother bought me this jacket after I requested something warm for the coldest part of winter, and this jacket doesn’t disappoint! It is not as bulky as other parkas I’ve tried on, but does still have some size to it. The fabric and styling is, well, cool! My wife loves it on me so much that she is going to buy herself one too from the women’s line.

Awesome Parka

I absolutely love this jacket. It’s plenty warm for the snowy mountain winter, not overly bulky, and is very comfortable with freedom of movement. I also have plenty of room for a long sleeve/sweatshirt underneath for added layers. The hood works out great in wind and snow. Kühl does a great job of combining functionality and great style.

High Quality

Well crafted jacket that masters both loft and durability, a rare combination. They managed to keep it surprisingly light. Pumped to put it through the paces this winter. Zippers all seem very well done. Only tip; On a long jacket like this I prefer a 2-way zipper and would love an internal mesh pocket on both sides, not just one.

Wylde About This Parka

I’m not one to be very wordy or full of effusive praise. This parka deserves a lot of it. It’s my perfect winter piece for Ohio. Warm. Not too puffy. Styled cleanly and very efficiently. No shortcomings for me. I am 100% satisfied and that is not easy for any company to accomplish. Thank you KUHL.

keeps your body neutral

I tested this one in 27 degree super cold with 5mph windy weather. I went on a bike ride in super cold weather with just Tshirt underneath the parka with no other layers and didn't feel any cold even when it was windy..hands froze lol as I didn't wore gloves just to sense real cold

well made

This jacket is very well made. Zippers are reinforced. But the most unexpected thing about the jacket is how comfortable it is. The inside is so soft against the skin. It literally feels like your wearing a well fit sleeping bag. I love the pockets and details of the jacket.

Wyldefire parka

Very nice coat, warm without bulk, wind and moisture resistant shell that is tough enough to withstand the branches and brambles of the eastern woodlands all the while having the ability to move effortlessly when wearing it. Beats a puffer coat any day of the week.

Worth the money.

I love the coat. I was out sledding with the kids in 20 degree weather with only a tshirt underneath. Did not have to layer. Blocked the wind really good while I was shoveling the driveway. The coat is very comfortable. I would recommend this coat.
