Sizing Notes

Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.

SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.

TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.

Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.

Inseam is measured to the floor.

Great performance!
I used these ski pants while working as a ski instructor. I spent a lot of time on my knees helping skiers. I had the snow cuff up and down to continually adjust my boots. I accessed the pockets constantly. I skied in snow, rain, wind, cold, and warm and these pants exceeded my expectations at every turn. They are very durable. Lots of great features like leg vents for when it is cold.Adjustable waist to accommodate different layers. I skied in them at 10F with one layer underneath and I was warm and dry. I almost never give any product 5 stars but these pants deserved it.

Description is wrong, NOT WATERPROOF
The listing says they are "waterproof". The tag on the pants says they are "water repellent". Which is it, REI?

A water "resistant" snow pant

REI's 2-layer waterproof membrane works well enough for most of these pants but they need a higher waterproof rating than their standard 2100mm in the seat area. If you are sitting on a wet chair lift, your body weight will force the water through the membrane and you'll end up wet. Dry, powder days this shouldn't be a problem but SE slush board days are too much for these pants. Otherwise a great pant and the insulation is perfect. Pockets are great and the thigh pocket is extremely useful and perfect size. It's a shame about the low waterproof rating, I will return these and switch out for a brand that has at least a 10,000mm minimum rating.

Loved them

Got these to go skiing in Montana. They were very well priced and turned out to be comfortable and warm. Was toasty in 0° temps with some compression long johns underneath but was able to manage it because the pants come with zipper vents to help regulate temperature. 10/10 would recommend.

Nice and Toasty for the Slopes

Received free product

After many years of just layering up thermals under winter hiking pants, these have brought me back to the world of legit ski pants. I really enjoy how these are baggy to accommodate boots, but are otherwise pretty form-fitting (as far as snow pants go). These things will keep you warm and dry on the slopes. I've even layered these over pants to bike to work in the rain (a little awkward with the cuff hitting the cassette, but it was worth a try!). Would recommend these to anyone looking for quality snow pants without paying a crazy amount of cash for a brand name.

Good fit, stay warm, and dry

Received free product

Any comparison I do will be against North Face Freedom snow pants (2013) and Patagonia Snowshot Pant s(2017). I am not aware of any updates to these two products since I bought them in the years listed. The fabric has a softer feel, much less crunchy than my other snow pants. The color of the terra firma may be slightly off, but it may just be my compute monitor adjustment. I think they have a bit of a green tint. I have included a photo but I feel it is slightly off also. Along with the softer feel, they also flex nicely. There is a small articulation in the knees which is helpful. These are a slimmer fit than my other pants, they are less bulky in the butt and thighs, but still have more than enough room. I appreciate this, it feels less like I am wearing a pair of insulated pants. The insulation, for me, insulation,it is thick enough to provide more than enough warmth with just a thin baselayer underneath. No chance of feeling any wind and a cold lift seat isn't a problem. I do run warmer than most that I ski with, so your experience may not be the same as mine. I would wear these without any base if the inside of the legs was the brushed fabric like inside the pockets. Waterproof, yep, no problems there. Time will tell how well that holds up before needing to be retreated. The leg vent, as shown in the stock photo has no mesh liner. I'd say that I prefer the mesh, but these provide more venting. These are extremely similar to the North Face Freedom pants that I have worn quite a bit. They lack the front leg pocket, which is not missed. See ya on the slopes!

Great snow pants for bigger legged guys

I have been searching for a comfortable pair of snow pants for two seasons. My issue is I have ungodly big tree trunk thighs that make finding any type of pant difficult. I came across these pants and decided to give them a try because of the price point. I wear a size 38 pants so I went with the XXl to be on the safe side. The waist itself is a little loose but they have adjustable straps to make it tighter or you can just throw a pair of suspenders on them. The thigh fit was perfect! I had plenty of room and full range of motion. The quality of the pant build is strong too. So far have skied about 20 times in them and I have yet to be disappointed. Warm and comfortable. And for reference I’m 5’8 and the pant length on the XXl was not too long. Highly recommend.

Seam ripped on day four

Pants kept me warm, zippers worked well, and the leg vents were really nice. But: the crotch ripped open on the fourth day that I wore them. I guess I have to return them.

Good Snow Pants

Received free product

Immediately I was impressed by the overall look and style. Sometime snowpants are too puffy, these fit easily over pants without making me feeling inflated. I appreciated the vents for when it gets too warm. Overall I would recommend. The only con for me was that I am normally a XXL in all clothing items, and these were way too large, even when cinched all the way down. Make sure you read the size guide before buying.

Fit / Sizing is off

I’m 6’3”, 195. Typically wear 34 waist pants or just size large. The large here was way too baggy (too big for a belt) and the medium was way too tight. Uncomfortable to sit down. Medium waist says 32-34 and Large is 36-38. Maybe I’m a 35, but these pants don’t give enough to cover 34-36 which is what I need. That said, if they fit they look and feel like a great ski pant.

Great Quality at a Reasonable Price

Picked these up January of 2022 for skiing in the Rockies. Really well made outer fabric that hasn't torn going through glades and provide the right amount of warmth with a baselayer of leggings on cold days. The waist does run pretty big on them so have a pair of Chumms suspenders to keep them up. The upper leg runs a little tight for my liking bug have gotten used to it over the course of last season.
