Overall comfy, but causes blisters on my bunions

I had high hopes. Tried them on a very light 3mi hike and seemed great. Took them backpacking to RMNP 6/5-6/8. Where the thicker dark brown material meets the lightweight, lighter brown material is right near my bunions. We were hiking 4mi with 800ft elevation gain. I had to stop at about 3mi to put a blister pad on my right bunion because I could feel the hot spot starting and decided it was the smart thing to do. Thankfully no blister formed, but I could still feel the initial irritation. To be safe, when we descended I proactively put blister pads on both feet. I could tell by the descending angle they would rub in the shoes. Thankfully I did, because they took some damage but prevented the rubbing on my skin. I gave 3 stars because I consider these average. I always have issues with boots due to my bunions. Usually they are too tight in the toe box, etc. but these are actually quite comfy. That's why it's such a bummer. I will try KT Tape or Leuko Tape next time, it's what I end up having to use most times anyways. (Blister Pads - google these - they have them at Target, Walgreens, etc. and they are pretty helpful - stay on relatively well for a quick fix like this. Would stay on longer for a normal day, I assume.)

Threads coming apart

Not magically more comfortable than my other hiking boots, but it's nice to have more cushioning compared to my Merrell Moabs. I thought the toe box had enough width. The issue is the quality of the shoe. I haven't put more than 20 miles on them (and this is walking on paved roads, haven't been on a trail yet) and there are threads coming out of both toes. Feels wasteful to return them but this is such poor quality and I don't want them to fall apart on a longer trip.

Great summer boots

I haven't had these boots for too long, so I can't speak to the longevity, but so far, they're the perfect summer hiking boots for hot, dry weather. They're light and breathable, but supportive. My ankles feel comfortably secure on moderately difficult trails. I have a narrow foot with high arches and an occasionally irritating bunion, but these boots keep my feet happy. I sized up a half-size from my running shoe size, and that was the right move to allow plenty of room in the toe box without movement in my heel.

On my third pair

Love these boots. I'm on my 3rd pair. Good cushioning, traction and toe box room without being sloppy. I have a narrow heel and these fit great. I love that they do NOT have Gortex or some other water resistant product as a feature. I live in AZ and need a boot that breathes.

Breathable Boots

These boots felt great right out of the box! I wanted some breathable boots for backpacking in the Eastern Sierra when I go fly fishing. So, when I wade through creeks they will dry out quickly. I don't like crossing creeks over logs with a huge backpack on my back creating some off balance for me. These will be great for my needs. So comfortable!

Very small!

Fits a whole size smaller than a regular size. I wear a 7-7.5 and this fits closer to a 6 or 6.5 USA womens.
