A great sock, now unwearable for me.
I have trusted REI's Adventure Crew Socks as my go-to daily wear for nearly a decade now, but the current iteration is unwearable for me because of the massive logo on the ankle of the sock. I've bought these socks for years because they're comfortable, durable, and reliable for a range of activities. I wear them for hiking and running, and previous iterations were great for business casual, and (in a pinch) semiformal to formal wear. After all, it was a plain, black sock to any outward appearance! I have about 15 pairs of the previous generation of these socks at home because I could use them for everything. My employer sets a strict dress code. In work or on-the-job fitness attire, I am not allowed to wear any items of clothing with visible logos, aside from my company's brand. Socks have always been a tough one (especially for fitness) because just about every worthwhile fitness sock is branded! This sock worked for me for so, so long, and I'm beyond disappointed in this logo-forward redesign. Please return to sensible plain-ness for your next generation.
Maybe good if you’re looking for compression
I need a basic black socks to wear inside of boots. I usually purchase Balegas but wanted something basic for that purpose. These are exceptionally narrow and don’t fit to the shape of your foot or ankle. The best part about them is taking them off.
Socks. They're great friends to your feet
Socks. Both the Left and Right work as well as a couple of socks should work, however, the Left one seems to overcompensating for something and likes to inch closer to my toes while I'm wearing my boots vs. staying up around the ankles. Overall, as EDW or Every Day Wear, these are a great non branded pair of work socks.
My favorite everyday socks I know will last
The first socks I look for out of the dryer. These socks are comfortable and I like how they fit well in my varying fits of winter boots. They aren’t overly cushioned and I like it that way. The high nylon content helps with durability and I can tell they will last hundreds of wears and washes.

Average. A pity they do not come in cotton (just wool). A tad too small despite being classified as "L Men's 9 - 14".

Comfy albeit a little expensive socks. Might pick up another couple of pairs
