Arc'teryx  Gamma Pants - Men's

The pants are almost perfect just ventilation is missing. I put a zipper on the legs between the pockets and the knee. That helps a lot when you hike uphill. In the flat or downhill I close them again.

I had this Pant for a while, however I wore it for only about 4-6 weeks in total. I absolutely loved it. Unfortunately the glued pocket let go and I lost the car keys on a hike. Luckily I noticed it. Why do you use glue for such essential parts like a pocket? It's a shame, because the pants otherwise are as new. Has this quality issue been solved in the meantime or do your new pants still have the same problem? By the way I had the same problem with one of your softhshell jackets, where the glued pocket also let go and my mobile phone fell out.

Expensive pants that fall apart while washing. I own 4 pairs of the gamma pants and anytime I wash them, I fear that the glued seams will fall apart. I wear them to travel, and do not have control over what kind of detergents used in other countries. They are great pants but all the glue seams will fall apart, leaving the thigh pocket useless. Any taped seams will peal. I wish I could attach photos to this review. I will no longer buy these pants again. Do not buy, unless you never plan to wash them.

Wore these on a two day 21km hike, loved the durability. Not getting caught on branches etc. also lose how I can pull them down on my boots and they stay tight and won't come off after walking if gaiters aren't your thing. Would definitely recommend

Bought these pants for hiking and they have delivered this far. Used them for an overnight backcountry trip and they were very comfortable. I always used to buy Arc’teryx pants one size bigger because they were built for tall skinny people however, by doing so, I had to return the first pair because they were too big and the second pair I bought were actually the same size as I always buy. The material is very comfortable and seems bulletproof. I really enjoy that they are a bit longer and narrow at the bottom so I don’t have to wear gaiters and nothing sneaks inside my boots while on long hikes.

Really disappointed with these pants. After a dozen or so washes the glued zipped leg pocket is coming apart. Why use glue in the first place instead of stitching? I am now going to have to pay to have these repaired/stitched locally. Another, thing these pants shrink even at a 30 degrees washing cycle and become too tight like skinny jeans. Please bring back the older version which was more comfortable and did not shrink in the was. Over the years, I have noticed that Arcteryx quality has been going downhill. Please focus on good quality outdoor wear instead of the chasing the casual market.

I bought these pants on September 23. After my first hike, a three-day trip, yellow marks appeared on the back and at the bottom of the legs. I've tried everything to remove them gently, but nothing works. I asked the Arc'teryx team at both Paris stores, but no one was able to help. Please DM me so we can find a solution.

Excellent! If you are an athletic build ( for example I'm 5'11'', 175 lb, 38-year-old man with a 32-inch waist and 32-inch inseam) these pants are excellent. I usually use them as stand-alone or with a RHO heavyweight baselayer under them in colder conditions and they are phenomenal. They provide enough flexibility while being functional and looking good. I highly recommend. I bought both the Tanto and Black pair. I did however try last years model as they were on sale and had to return them as the 32 inch waist was too tight. This years 32 inch waist fits perfectly.
