I got these to replace my worn out Altras (Lone Peak 3.5 and Timp2). I wanted a light weight, mesh top low sneaker with a modest rock plate. I liked the Altra’s large toe box and how quickly they dried while hiking after crossing through streams, but they don’t have that rock plate. After a couple miles, I would feel every single rock - agh! These Obos have been comfortable so far. These didn’t dry out as quickly as I hoped on the first stream crossing but it was early spring and still pretty cold out. I was surprised no water came into the sneaker until it went over the laces. Even with the mesh, there is layer keeping the water out. Toe box is not a large as the Altras, but seem sufficient so far. Very grippy on steep rock climbs!
These hiking shoes are well made ... and Oboz shoes are excellent. Good tread design provides grip and prevents slipping. They are great walking in the neighborhood or on the trail.
Well made shoes with solid, comfortable, supportive soles that are not too narrow. Good for all day at work outside.
Lit color, not too extra, and it’s giving major vibes. Mine just pulled up with a tiny twist in the front, like I ordered a size up and I've been vibing with it non-stop for over a month. Not sure what went on, but it was quietly suspect, like someone was just vibing with a test run. Honestly, I've been rocking these for a minute, and they never disappoint, even the way heavier previous style. Therefore, not going to pull the plug, but will take this one back to the dealer. maybe it should be listed next time on the used parking lot. Ok! that's my opinion.
Good shoes, bad inserts. I used better inserts from obiz sawtooth. These shoes are good but you need tough feet in rocky areas
