The Top Hot/Cold Design

Originally bought this for one of my daughters. She raved over this bottle for keeping her hot coffee hot, and when the top is properly sealed, it never leaks. I use it for ice water and it works great. Three (3) great features: 1. The cap is easy to disassemble and wash. 2. The cap is interchangeable with their new line of 40oz/32oz/20oz stainless steel bottles with the magnetic cap lid. If you have the 40oz bottle, you can use this cap on it. 3. You can buy a replacement cap and convert your new design stainless steel bottles to a Hot Cap version.

A few issues

Great quality.. but.. 1. It's too tall to fit under an average Keurig. I can get coffee in it ok but I have to stand there and hold the cup at an angle. 2. The way that the cap is designed can cause the beverage to come out at an angle and dribble out of the corner of my mouth, then down my chin and onto my shirt. I only use it for water at the office now. 3. I like the cap but when working in a dirty environment, I have to put my dirty fingers in the cap to turn the valve open for a drink and just don't like grease or other dirty things in my mouth.

Cap is not "universal"

This is a fine bottle. But why on earth does the cap not fit on a Chute Insulated Stainless bottle? It's annoying enough already that the Chute stainless insulated bottles have different caps than virtually all other Camelbak bottles, but now this "Hot Cap" insulated stainless vessel is different than all other stainless steel vessels. How about some consistency?

Awkward to drink from

It keeps hot liquids hot for hours. Unfortunately, the cap is pretty awkward to use. It's designed to be usable from any side, but because the liquid feeds through the center of the cap, it's difficult to judge when the liquid will start coming out. This is a particularly bad flaw when the liquid is hot, and you just want a sip.

Great product

I received this item through my health app "Go365" for free. It works great!! If you are having an issue with it fitting under a Keurig, simple fix, use another cup or mug or anything else that will fit and use that under the Keurig then simply pour your beverage into the Hot cap 20oz........BAM, problem solved, enjoy:)

Great mug!

I love the finish of the mug. It seems quite sturdy. I'm a massive fan of being able ot drink from any angle on the lid and it seals tight so I do not need to worry about it leaking in some of the most demanding situations I've put any drink container in.

Narrow cup opening creates problems

I really wanted to like this cup--the easy to clean lid that completely comes apart and the fact that it can't be accidentally opened for my coffee to spill out is great. However, the narrow opening to the cup makes it difficult to clean the inside--you basically need a long bottle brush with a narrow handle so you can angle it properly. The narrow opening also creates an issue with my pour-over coffee cone. The bit of neck below the flange on the #2 coffee cone I have fits inside the opening with only minimal wiggle room. This sounds great, right? Except that when the coffee is brewing, the liquid creates just enough of a seal that it starts pooling right inside the lip and dribbles out and down the sides--creating a puddle of coffee around the cup! Who wants to deal with that before their first cup of coffee in the morning while trying to get out the door?? If they made the cup opening a few millimeters wider this wouldn't be an issue. I've never had any problems like this with the other vacuum travel mugs this one was meant to replace.

It holds liquids

So the Hot Cap 20 oz does keep coffee and tea warm, the cap is irritating to me and it does not close automatically. So it will spill. But if there is no intent on caring what goes in the mug, then its wonderful.

Everyone Wants One!

We purchased the mugs with our logo on it and they turned out amazing! The only bad part is that everyone wants one. We love the look but with a cost like that, only a select few get these beauties.

Well Insulated and Leak Proof

Has surpassed my old favorite travel mug by keeping my coffee hot for an extended time and doesn't leak.
