I bought a pair a month ago and after one normal hike, many aesthetic damages appeared such tears and scratches. My purchase was disappointing. I emailed the warranty team but they just justified. It's not worth at all compared to that expensive.
Love the new fit and colors. Added the white to my collection and they are really nice. I must say, I primarily wear them as work shoes to the office, but love the fit and light weight. The new Aerios 2 do have more room, in the toe box, then the old version. I have narrow feet, but even at that, had to use thin wool socks. These will accommodate thicker socks and are very comfy. Big improvement in overall fit. Everything about these is top-notch. (Although I wish they had a lace pouch like the Norman).
These were a free warranty replacement for a two year old pair of the original Aerios FL Goretex boots that I loved. But the Goretex in those boots failed and water leaked into both boots. Hopefully that issue was solved in the new FL 2 version. The new boots are as comfortable as the originals. And they deliver as advertised. A flexible, low boot that gives a bit of support and never feels heavy. I did notice, as has been mentioned by another reviewer, that the inside stitching at the heel area in one of the boots is crazy bad. However it is in a spot that doesn’t press against my foot so it is not a comfort issue.
Straight out of the box and on for a muddy trek along the South Devon Coast path. I was worried they might be a little too narrow based on some reviews but all was good. Grippy over granite steps, supportive up steep wet and slippy inclines/declines, light and comfortable Not too hot when the sun came out 6 miles in - feet could breathe and totally water tight during the final 2 miles back to the car through some heavy rain. No discomfort, no blisters after 9 miles. No need to break these boots in! Smart, minimalist boots fashionable enough to wear during a 3 day trip to Prague this week. Coped with lots of cobbles, warm autumn weather of 20C and a rainy last day. Again, no discomfort, no blisters and dry feet after approx 22 miles visiting the attractions. Also smart enough to wear to restaurants/cafes. Fantastic all rounder!
I have unfeasibly large feet for a 6 footer… Arc’teryx size 12.5 are an absolute joy to wear they fit absolutely perfectly. They are waterproof and hard wearing. I machine wash cool with a towel every couple of months and after a hard session put a capful of rubbing alcohol in the shoes jiggle it around and leave to dry. The vibrant soles on the right side are completely flattened off after 200 miles or so but the top material has never split or torn.. I have five pairs on rotation.. and recently been using them as golf shoes as they really are super comfortable and make clown feet look sensibly stylish.
I have used these twice. They have great grips and are good for hiking and off-trails. They are lighter like, trail runners, but they have ankle support and gore-tex material, so it makes them more durable than my noravan 3s. I give them only an average rating because they are too big. I sized down from 8w to 7W and there is still too much room. I have to tie the laces all the way tight and this causes the laces to be far too long (even tied I can trip over them.) I think Arcteryx needs to rethink sizing because it doesn't match the industry norm. For reference I have hiked 100 peaks this summer. :o
Hello. I bought these about one mo. ago. Very nice looking, comfortable fit. Good grip in the wet with the soles. Only one thing to note. Since I bought these online without a fitting, I went with the larger of two sizes considered, since your sizing is only in US mens. They're not too long, but they are quite wide and with a large volume toe box, so I went out and purchased very thin insoles and now they're pretty much spot on. And I thought I had pretty wide feet. I've done a few walks of five to six km and very comfortable now. Almost feels like barefoot walking. Keep the sizing issue in mind.
I had two pairs of hiking shoes of an older model very similar to this shoe. I love them. After years of use, one of those pairs sent me up to Mt Fuji. The soles on both pairs still don't show noticeable wear and tear, very sturdy. I bought this pair for daily walks in bad weather. They felt like my old shoes but the toe box is roomier and the size runs large, at least for women's sizes. My old pairs are 7.5 but now 7 fits me. I think it should work for me in the long run, but didn't keep the shoes because I later discovered "NORVAN LD 3 GTX" which fits my casual need better.
The shoes are good, but the color of the picture is completely different from what you bought
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought these shoes almost a month ago and I am so happy about my decision. They look so good, they are extremely comfortable and perfect for rainy days.
