Warm! And worth every penny.
I have had several pairs of the older version, with the first two fingers separated. I was a bit hesitant since the price of this new version is double what the older version cost. But I have to say, these are warmer. I have Raynauds Syndrome and my fingers get cold, numb and then start burning at fairly mild temperatures. I have worn these at below freezing and been comfortable.
Nice upgrade from the old style.
I have had several pairs of the old style with two separate fingers and two together. They were pretty warm. But these are even warmer. I have Raynauds Syndrome and keeping my fingers warm is a challenge. These do a good job down to about 32f. I have slipped instant hot packs in to increase the warmth, but I haven't put the pogies on my bicycles yet. I do wish there was a pocket for the heat packs. I guess that will be a small sewing project.
Will never go back to gloves!
I have not used them yet but I’m sure they are 5 stars. I had a pair of these mittens or should I say the last years models and they were excellent! They were right up there with more expensive brands. Unfortunately my last pair is somewhere in Wyoming! O well someone will find some very nice mittens. But seriously, don’t waste your money on those more expensive brands. All of the REI products I have are excellent and are right up there with the other brands and they hold their heads up high. You don’t have to trust me, just buy a pair of these and you’ll be sold. I been on summits where my hands got cold enough to not move well and 5-10 mins in these bad boys and they were toasty warm and having that split finger is a game changer when it comes to zipping up your coat, holding your ski pole, getting more gear from your bag etc. I can go on all day. I will never go back to regular 5 finger gloves again. Thanks REI for another great product!!
Love these!
I love these. All the warmth of mittens with the bonus of the split finger for dexterity. Plus touch screen enabled.
Wicked warm, but...
I got these gloves and they were great. Wicked warm good grip. But after 1.5 years. Maybe a dozen ski trips the palms have began to disintegrate.
