Nice Boots, Until theyre not.
I bought a pair of these boots aboht a year ago as part of a perpetual search to find a comfortable work boot for brewery work (chemical resistance and water + slip proof) and they did really well for the first 4-6 months. Comfortable and as-advertised all around. Then it became obvious that even if the upper rubber section was chem resistant, the thread that seams the rubber to the leather gusset section is not resistant to much, if anything at all. In the last 6 months Ive just dealt with a slowly separating seam but after about a year, these boots need a full overhaul or get trashed.
Love these...
I originally purchased these in ladies as my previous Xtratuf's boots fit well, however the ladies size seemed small and tight. I returned them in exchange for the men's, which were wider and I couldn't be more pleased. My husband and I spent 10 days hiking in Sitka, AK. It was a somewhat rainy trip this year but that didn't stop us. My feet stayed dry and I never felt like I was wearing a boot. Very comfy!! Plus, we wear the Legacy boot when we deal with deeper waters, and that boot is fabulous too. Highly recommend!!

They are decent boots. I like the ankle boot and it doesn't feel cheap like the deck boots but these are horribly designed. The laces are waaay too long and when you cinch up the boot, only the top eyelets come together. So the top pinches shut before the rest of your boot tightens up. So the parts that come together look like this "/\\" when they should be more parallel. So only the top of the boot gets tight. They should've cut them at less of an angle or even dropped the bottom eyelet lower so you can actually tighten more than the ankle of the boot. Kind of a high price to pay for something with such an obvious design flaw. If I had to do it again, I'd buy the Chelsea boot style of these and not worry about tightening or overly long laces that drag in the water and get all nasty.
Comfortable Functional Non Slip Boot.
These boots are awesome! The fit is true to size and they are comfortable right out of the box. When they say non slip they aren’t kidding. I bought these boots because I had my entire lumbar spine fused a few months prior so I absolutely can’t afford to slip and fall anytime soon. They have great traction on hard wet surfaces….I even walked across polished marble in a rain storm with no issues.

Perfect for mucking around town in the freeze thaw slop of Colorado. Thin fleece lining keeps feet warm but not sweaty. Expect about a week break in period before its super comfortable. Sole works on all surfaces but straight ice. Water treatment operator and I can wear them all day in and out of plant and at my desk. I'm a 10.5. Bought an 11
Pretty Good
If they fit, they hit many features of a winter boot: waterproof, warm, good looking. Cons: heavy, wide fit (maybe + for some). I find these work best on snow and slushy conditions. I wear an 11.5 in most men's shoes and have narrow foot. The 11 was a tad short and 12 is a bit loose but ok. Good boot.
I returned them
Those boots ran small. Where the leather met the rubber was cutting off my circulation just when I tried them on. I couldn't imagine trying to break them in. Some padding for the top of the foot may have helped. I guess figure out a material that can give more dexterity for the top of the boot.
Terrible gusset ruins everything
Nice boots EXCEPT that the design of the lace area gusset is very strange and doomed to fail. It's made of highly porous materials with a **very** thin plastic waterproofing film. Once that peels off the upper is absolutely non waterproof. Can't see why a waterproof material was not used here
These boots have a weird
These boots have a weird fit to them. The top of the leather is very hard and almost impossible to wear comfortably. The quality is definitely there as usual. They seemed to grip perfectly. The deal breaker was the leather on the top. It hurts to wear them.
Wish they came in half sizes
Really nice! Keeps my toes dry when brewing beer. Just wish they came in half sizes. I usually wear 11.5 but opted for the size 12 in case the size 11 was too small. The 12s are definitely a shade too big but other than that they have been great.
