Worth it.
I love this insert. I honestly think it delivers exactly how it says it will. His feet do stick out, but I can still close the trailer around him (encore x)due to the stretch of the cover. It keeps him well supported, he can sleep comfortably, and I still have room for another passenger. He does get a little sweaty on hot days, but that’s typical of any trailer or stroller. My only regret is that he’s about to hit the height and weight limits so he won’t be able to use it as much as he does now. I really just wish I had bought it sooner.
Was hoping for a little more
Bought the double stroller with the new baby seat insert for my 3yr old and newborn (now 8wks old). It's hit or miss if she's content. For context, she's a very happy baby, approx. 13lbs at this point. Loves the car seat and is a great traveler. Not sure if it's the shoulder straps that are bugging her, but she doesn't last very long in the insert. If I go more than 1.5miles (30mins), the walk typically ends in her crying. Maybe she'll like it more when she's a little bigger 🤷♀️

Our 10lb newborn loves it! She is very comfortable and it’s so nice to be able to know she’s secure and content. Things I don’t like: It was VERY difficult to install. Horrible directions! The Cub does not collapse very flat for transport in the car with the baby insert in place. Our newborn’s toes stick out the end. It is not long enough or does not fit properly in the stroller. It’s quite large. It would be nice if it was a little smaller and fit tighter in the Cub.
Works!
Supports my 1 month old’s head well and he enjoys riding in it. Fairly easy to install, removing it is a bit more cumbersome. Works well overall. The minor cons are that it could use a chest clip, and my babies feet stick out in the mesh of the wind screen. We use it to walk on paved roads and sidewalks (sometimes even attached to a bike even though we know we shouldn’t- we go slow)
Afterthought design
Burley cart baby seat “works”… But baby is basically hanging out of it. She’s too far out, so sunshield and wind shield can’t be utilized on walks. And sometimes she starts to slide out. The Thule baby sling is a better design.
