Hard to sleep near. Fan noise and LED brightness.

No review I could find talks about this device's fan noise. This isn't loud exactly, but it is extremely noticeable given how often it kicks on, in some instances (even without any device power draw!?) as often as every thirty minutes or so. If you're trying to sleep near this thing and are a light sleeper, forget it. This replaced an EcoFlow River Pro which randomly died resurrected, then died again and was replaced under warranty after two weeks of ownership. Hard pass. No app functionality on the BioLite vs the EcoFlow, but the EcoFlow app never really provided all that much functionality and took too long to connect. The screen actually turns off on the BioLite, which it never did on the EcoFlow despite multiple attempts on the device and the app. This is negated somewhat by the fact that the Biolight device lights are far too bright, the AC, DC and USB power indicators are bright enough to noticeably light the wall 5 feet away when trying to sleep. Power output is solid, like most people mention the wireless is tricky to line up, nature of the design, not really BioLite's fault. Would be a great device but for the noise and brightness, it's merely good, and for the cost, good isn't enough.

Defective product, defective support.

Bought two of these for taking to my off grid camp. One of them works fine, the other constantly runs its fan with no load connected and just kills the battery. Been attempting to get this resolved with support for weeks. The ticket open auto reply states “a real human will respond within one business day. The canned responses have come 3-6 business days later and I have still not gotten anywhere. So 1 star for one of my batteries, 4 stars for the working one, and 1 star for support.

No, I do not recommend this product

Thanks for your note. We're sorry to hear about your Basecharge experience and the delayed response—this definitely shouldn't be happening. Typically, we get back to our customers within 1 business day. You should get an initial auto-response right away, and then a reply from us pretty quickly after that. We'd be happy to help you further and investigate why the fan is running — please get in touch with us once more through our contact form here: https://www.bioliteenergy.com/pages/contact

Good times with the base charge 600!

Amazing product. Within the first month of purchase the base charge was very useful on a week long camp trip in keeping all lights and devices fully charged. Also came in handy when the power went out overnight due to a surprise snow storm! Did experience major delays and issues when it came to shipping me the product. Issues that stretched over six weeks to resolve. Major flaw in keeping things organized and with communication.

Neapresso machine, CPAP

I purchased the BaseCharge 600 and just plugged in a Nespresso Essenza machine and a Aerocino. Surge wattage of Essenza showed 960w and the Aerocino was a little less. I ran the 2 machines one after the other. No noticeable battery consumption making 2 cappuccinos. Also ran Resmed CPAP with heated humidifier on for 8 hr therapy and it showed 13 hr left. It would be considerably less consumption if I turned humidifier off. It charged my phone wireless nicely. I plan to use this as an auxiliary battery in my RV which has a generator and lead acid house batteries. I had difficulty with CPAP running all night on the lead acid house batteries and could not get Nespresso with 1000w inverter to work without running noisy generator. This will be an easy upgrade without the expense of upgrading batteries to Li . Excellent power station and very happy with this purchase.

Perfect for camping, bush, or beach days.

Excellent. Took it camping and it was amazing. Paired this with 1 solar panel 100 and never dropped below 80% battery. Even with using air pumps for beach days. May buy the larger one for more off grid camping
