not very good at filtering and sharp edges.

In theory a great alternative to paper filters. In practice it's an extremely fragile steel disk with razor sharp edges (at least on mine), and design flaws that make it easily deformable where they inexplicably etched the name of the product halfway through the disk. It is also pretty terrible at filtering. Using the thing for the last couple months (when Mr. Coffee unexpectedly passed away) has been a daily challenge of finger slices, carefully drying and reshaping the delicate thing, and ultra fine coffee sand coating my throat. When I posted a similarly negative review on their website they deleted it, not a great sign for product support. I think we are one bloody morning away from demoting the thing to paring knife and cutting circles out of cheap paper basket filters instead.
