EAL10R
Very excellent product 6 light modes elightweight love the rechargeable battery very awesome product highly recommended
Overall Great Lantern.
As a first time consumer from REI, I needed something worth around 20$ to qualify for free shipping. Also, I had been in need of a lantern for a long time after only using flashlights such as the Gearlight S2000 & the LUXPRO XP916. Needless to say, it worked amazing on its debut camping trip and was able to guide me and my company setting up our tents late in the night. When hanging from a daisy chain in my tent, I found that it was more effective to take off the diffuser and just have the bare bulb projecting forth. If I broke it, I'd probably buy it again but maybe another high-quality Coast Lantern.
Great Light, Very Compact, Bright and Versatile
So I got this product and was very impressed with it. First it's very compact, and pretty bright on setting 4, perfect for an emergency light or a hanging garage light. The base unscrews and has one Zithion 820 rechargeable battery with the option to upgrade to a ZX850 for additional runtime. You can hang it upside down and remove the screw on light cover for overhead projects or use the built in hook and hang it traditionally. All and all this is an excellent safety tool and or shop tool for the price point with outstanding battery life. Also note that it has a solid and flashing red for roadside use which is handy.
The little light that started it all
The light was perfect for the roof of the tent, and the rechargable batteries last for a long time. I just purchased two more lights from Coast that are on the more tactical side. This was my first order on REI and as a member no less. After reviewing the Coast website it gave me confidence that REI selects their products with meticulous and impeccable detail. Quality products that I can depend on.
Cool little lantern!
This lantern most definitely exceeded my expectations when it came to size. Don't be fooled by it's little compact nature. Not only is it very bright on its highest LED setting, it is versatile with its different modes and lighting options . The aspect of the rechargeable battery or the option of running on regular batteries is very nice to have because you can use it in many different scenarios. It charges quick and maintains an average battery life. The only recommendation for improvement would probably be adding a lock feature on the power button. Many times did I accidentally click off the light while trying to use it while doing something else. Other than that, I most definitely recommend to anyone!
Good value + nicely engineered
I got this on sale. For about the same price you can buy knock-offs online elsewhere. BUT the knockoffs will have over-inflated specs, bad designs, and non-replaceable battery. Pros: - Great design. - Included are both 18650 li battery + 4 alkaline batteries. (You have to choose which to use; you can't use both at same time). - The low power 2700K setting is nice. - Great value. Cons.. Instructions are horrible but other than that, no other cons really but let's talk about the power supply: The included LI battery is only 1,000 milli-amp-hours. The upgrade cell, regardless of brand, will be about 3,000. The upgrade battery will be about $20. So now you have roughly a $40. Light, but still only 3,000. For another few bucks you could get someone's 21700 powered lamp @ 5,000. Like So-fern, etc. "Tactical" type. My plan: I'm only going to use this as a secondary light for car camping in my Wawona 6's vestibule, at their low "2700K" setting. I would not use this for backpacking or as a main light. This is just me.
Compact little light that shines bright
This small lantern works so well! I recently brought it on a week-long camping trip, and the rechargeable battery lasted up until the last night. I used it for at least a half hour each day. I love the various setting, but the soft warm light (moon light) is my favorite. It is the perfect size for my small tent. I also like that the diffuser is detachable. I would highly recommend.
Lovely camping lantern
I just took this lantern camping — I especially loved the moonlight setting which when hung above our table created a warm ambiance. Also knowing the moonlight (dim) setting had so many hours of use made me confident using it. There’s one issue: a rubber gasket that connect the two pieces kept falling off. This gasket is required to connect the two pieces so definitely something to have on your radar. I was skeptical of the rechargeable battery, but the battery itself has a built in charge port so no issues there.
Small battery
Why did you cripple a nice light by putting a sub-standard battery in it??? Your chart shows 87 lumens for about 5.3 hrs and 4 lumens for only 72 hrs and 500 lumens for 5.5 hrs???? Really??? Charge a few more dollars and put a MUCH larger battery in it…. say…. 5 times the capacity then you can advertise some good numbers. People want to see runtimes about four times longer than what you show.
Very bright and comact lantern
I recently had to go into a tunnel for work and this lantern came in handy. I like the different brightness levels it has for when you dont want to much light also the red light and red strobe light makes it easy to let someone know you need help if it ever came down to it. I highly recommend the eal10r lantern it would be great for camping or hiking or even just watching the stars at night.
