LOVE this bike!
I bought my Brompton Electric about nine months ago and I could not be more happy with my purchase! Bromptons are very well designed and made, and very easy to fold. I have also owned a Bike Friday, and I can say the BF rode a bit better, but nothing folds like the Brompton. I never folded the Bike Friday completely as it was too much of a bother, but I have folded my Brompton outside of a club, and walked in with it, bought a beer, and put the folded Brompton under the table, no problem. You could put two or three or even four in the trunk of a some cars, and just a few seconds to unfold and you are away. A complete toolkit can fit inside the bike tubes, and it comes with a pump and bright lights that run off the battery. I used to be a major mountain biker, but hurt my hip, so the electric assist keeps my hip from being over stressed and painful. You get on it and it just makes you smile. Things you need to know if you are thinking of buying one are that they have a regulator in them, and so will not assist you if you are going over 15 miles an hour, and they are made as city bikes, with 100 psi in the tubes, so not to be used in the dirt. If you live in a very hilly area, I would try one first to see if it suits your terrain, as I saw a complaint by a mom who said is was not strong enough for the hills there when she bought one for her kid. Fair enough, but the rest of the complaint was silly! They are very well built, guaranteed for 7 years, and are in a class of their own. Smaller wheels mean you have to be more careful of potholes, and if you are riding with bigger wheels now, you will notice this smaller wheeled bike will feel a little squirley at first, but you get used to it.
