Tastes great

I received this product for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. This Hydrating Electrolyte Berry Pomegranate Mix does not clump in water like some other powders I've tried. It mixes well and from the first sip, I loved it. The flavor isn't too sweet and actually has a nice, clean salty taste, which I am a big fan of. You can taste the berry pomegranate but also the Himalayan pink salt, which keeps the sweetness at bay. Being someone who prefers salt over sweet, I liked this immediately. I drank some after a particularly hard workout and I felt hydrated and refreshed. It didn't cause any GI issues or discomfort. One box contains 8 packets. They are perfect while traveling or to carry when out and about.

Not my fav

I love that this company is woman owned, and that there is no added sugar and naturally flavored. The instructions say to mix with 8-16 ounces of water. I used 16 ounces because I know that I generally prefer electrolyte drinks more watered down. It smelled good and I had high hopes, but the flavor just wasn't for me. I found the drink to be too salty for my preference. Also, I did notice that stevia is one of the ingredients and this drink definitely had the cloyingly sweet aftertaste of stevia. I can see it being a great electrolyte drink for some, but it's not for me.

Decent option for coconut-based electrolytes

Cure markets itself as a perfectly balanced, plant-based electrolyte mix. The taste of the Strawberry Kiwi flavor was overall good - not too sweet (a problem I often find with stevia sweeteners), perhaps due to the natural sugar from the coconut water powder & monk fruit extract. There was also a touch of sour to the taste that helped balance things out. The designation of "plant-based" leaves me questioning how their competitors formulate their mixes; I was under the assumption they were all plant-based, but that may not be so. Regardless, this is the only option I know of primarily based on coconut water. I prefer a stronger taste in my electrolyte drinks, and particularly, more salt. I am a very salty sweater, so this is not my preferred mix. For those looking for a more mild taste, you may enjoy Cure. Also of note is that the mix does not dissolve completely in cold water. No matter how much I stirred, there was always a little grit left in the bottom. The packets also are not the easiest to tear open; a couple of times, I tore at the wrong angle and had to use scissors to open the packet completely. This would be a big bummer in the backcountry!

Tasty and Trasparent!

I am really enjoying this electrolyte drink mix! The lemonade flavor is light and refreshing, not too sweet! I like the fact that there isnt sugar added, but the flavor is still there. I also love supporting women owned businesses and am happy that they are transparent about what they put in the product and steps they take to reduce their footprint. Great company and product!

Great taste!

I have many electrolyte packets over the years. This one was definitely one of the best tasting ones I’ve had. The box suggests to try this in 8-16 ounces of water. I typically like things on the blander side so 16 ounces was much preferred to me. In the 8 ounces the flavor was very sweet and salty. The 12 ounces was doable to me but ultimately I added more water at the end to get the leftover powder absorbed. I used this in a glass and needed to stir it so that the powder didn’t all sit in the bottom. I will definitely be buying this product in the future.

Excellent Electrolyte Drink w/o Added Sugar

I was impressed with the taste of these. I always try to find electrolyte drinks with no added sugars, but the sweet taste is usually overwhelming with the sugar substitutes. Cure found a perfect balance - tastes great, just a hint of sweetness, and no sugar added. I find myself reaching for more water during workouts because of the great taste. I like that it is colorless and the packages rip open easily. It’s vegan, as well! That’s an added plus for me. The quality is great regardless, but I love that this is a female-founded company I can support.

Not for me

I live in Denver and am a regular consumer of electrolyte drink mixes due to running and other outdoor activities. I was excited to try this one because it’s nice to change it up from time to time. To start the packaging is beautiful and the individual packets are sturdy unlike some other powder mixes. No concerns about it getting crushed in my backpack or pockets. You can mix it with 8 to 16oz of water and it does not clump in the mix. I chose to mix with 16oz. The taste is very sweet and leaves an aftertaste. I prefer mixes that are lighter in taste than this one, but it could be a fit if you like a stronger flavor in your mixes.

Natural ingredients, good flavor, a bit strong

I received the Berry Pomegranate and found it to be pretty unique amongst hydration mixes. Overall, this seems oriented more toward general wellness than hard exercise, with its mere 25 cal, 6g of carbs, and 240mg of sodium. The first two are normal for hydration mixes, while the sodium is on the lower end of the curve. Also, the flavor is pretty strong, as you might guess from how purple it made my water. It is reminiscent of Pixy Stix without being quite as cloying, but there's also a tinge I don't like coming from the stevia extract. I'm picky, though; most people would call it good! I tend to not want more than half a sachet of hydration powder in a regular glass or small bike bottle of water, but this is almost good enough to use it all at once. Almost.

Reminds me of Watermelon Jolly Rancher

I tried the watermelon option and it is a great and low calorie option for hydration. I found that my favorite way to enjoy this was with 8-10 ounces of water and over ice. It isn’t overly salty which is a fantastic relief compared to several competitor products. It also has a mouth feel similar to coconut water at the 8-10 ounce threshold so know that going in so you’re not surprised by the thicker beverage. I think this is a great add to any heavy activity day (skiing, hiking, cycling, etc.). Enjoy!

Wish the packets went a bit further

The first time I tried Cure, I just put one packet in my 32oz water bottle. I know that it says to mix with 8-16oz of water, but most of these hydration mixes are usually too sweet for my liking and I typically dilute them some. I figured out that the ounces suggestion was spot on, so I started using 2 packets in my 32oz bottle. This seems to be about the right mixture for taste, but it seems to be a lot of product, and at this rate (drinking the hydration mix around 3x a week), you’d burn through product quickly. I’d like to see them fine tune their product to be a little stronger for a larger water bottle. I tried the Berry Pomegranate flavor and it’s quite nice as there doesn’t seem to be another flavor like that on the market right now. All in all I enjoy the product and look forward to trying more!
