Awesome
This is so warm. I skiied in -10 degrees in the Northeast wearing a Smartwool 250 merino wool base layer, this midlayer, and my patagonia powder bowl jacket and had no issue with the cold. Definitely worth it.
Love this for my trip to Yellowstone
Bought this for my trip to Yellowstone. There were some negative reviews on this product so I wanted to add my review. I have had mixed experiences with REI outlet items. This was a win! The length is a bit longer than I expected but in no way too long. I also found that it had a slim cut, not just super straight. I am a 42 year old woman looking forward to wearing this on hikes and other outdoor activities. I think the length is great for wearing with leggings! I am between a medium and a large and purchased a large. I like that is not skin tight but still slim. I wish it had thin holes. That’s the only negative. I am happy with the purchase!
Too long, no shape...
I LOVE my old R1 and thought I would add another to my wardrobe... but wow, they really changed the design. It is now very long and there is no discernable curve at the waist. If you're a curvy girl with hips and a small waist, I would avoid this unless you're really tall or prefer a straight cut.
See through
I returned this due to it being a thin material and being see through which doesn’t look great with the chest pocket on one side causing the coloring to look off. I also didn’t care for the fit being somewhat tight and not flattering for my body (my size is XL).
Long
Really nice shirt but the body of the shirt was really long. I like my shirts a little longer for hiking and day to day. But this was too long for me. For reference I’m about 5’6”. If you’re taller than it would prob be perfect! It also seemed to run a tad big. I ordered my usual size, a Small, and it fit fine, a little lose. But I bet an XS would have fit a little nicer.
Easy to wear
Lightweight. Like material. I'll wear in Spring, Fall, and cooler nights in Summer. Purchased L.
Comfortable, soft, warm
So comfortable and warm but still breathable. I love the blue color and the softness of the fabric. I recently took this with me while traveling to Ireland and the UK, and it was perfect for the cooler nights. Patagonia nailed it with this product.
For the love of thumbholes.
Was on the hunt for a warm 1/4 zip with thumbholes to wear skiing. Thought I'd found a winner. Tech specs show "yes" to thumbholes but alas there are none. <sad, so sad> If you can live without thumbholes this piece feels warm and typical, high quality Patagonia. Just all about those thumbholes for me!
Wonderful pullover
The first time around, my fiancee returned it because she thought it was too tight, but we later bought it again. The material is perfect for hiking on cold mornings, and it looks nice enough to wear around town after.
Very disappointed with REI
Purchased this for a Christmas gift and it was delayed in shipping, waited multiple days just to have REI tell me that they had sold this to me by mistake and didn’t have any left in stock. The only apology was a 15% discount coupon. I was very disappointed and left scrambling for a gift.
