Best shoes ever
I LOVE these shoes! I bought them for a 17 day trip to the UK and wore them every day. We walked and walked and walked and these shoes never hurt my feet. I have a slightly wide foot and usually shoes will bother my pinky toe after while and my heels will ache. I’ve worked retail so my feet know abuse. I wore these shoes once to the office before our trip and hoped for the best. I expected my feet to hurt but they never did. I can’t even tell you how comfortable and easy these shoes are. No need to tie them which was great at the airport. Just perfect shoes.
So Very Comfortable, but Squeak on Hard Floors
There are very few styles of shoes that are comfortable for me, and the KNX leather sneaker is my new favorite! The arch support is just right, and it is positioned in just the right place for me. However, the elastic laces did not work for me at all - there was no way to adjust the width of the shoes, or how they fit on my feet; pulling the stretchy laces tighter didn't help. I replaced these elastic laces with non-stretch, cotton laces, in several colors, and then I loved my shoes. . . . Until I walked on hardwood floors - the shoes squeak loudly on hard surfaces! This is annoying for me, and for people around me who have to listen to it. I would like to ask Keen to use a different kind of sole on these KNX shoes, maybe what my previous favorite, the CNX, has. This squeaking is my reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
Lacking in Longevity, Comfortable While They Last
I have always loved Keens outdoor lines and I really like the look and feel of these shoes. They are nice to wear to the office and comfortable. I am disappointed in the longevity of the sole. There were holes in the soles less than 4 months after I purchased them. Maybe I walk more than the average person because I live in a metro area but at this price point I expected similar quality to my other Keen shoes which have never failed me.
Very Comfortable, but a stitch glitch?
These are definitely comfortable, but there appears to be an off-center seam. That causes that seam to buckle over my toes on my right foot. I do not like the look of that. The left shoe is fine The size feels right and lines up with the measurements posted. I want to exchange them for another pair in same size to see if this was just a one-off. For the number size compared to other brands, this shoe runs short, but that seem.typical for what I have tried on from Keen. I went by the size charts and ordered according to that. The size I ordered based on that seems correct.
post-surgery dream shoe
I recently had foot surgery to repair a Lisfranc injury and I was having trouble finding comfortable shoes. I’ve always heard that “barefoot” style shoes aren’t appropriate for plus size women like me, so I was hesitant to try these shoes, but I’m glad I did, because they are the only shoes I own that don’t cause post-surgical pain. I attribute part of that to the fact that the heel of the shoe is not raised above the toes. These shoes are comfortable and supportive without being “squishy.” I also love the slip-on styling and shoelaces. Highly recommended!!
Short!
I have owned many Keens over the years, but these are a miss. I was really surprised to try them on and have my toes hitting the end of the shoe. Back they go.
OK if you like the feel & look of bowling shoes
I was looking for something lightweight, durable, supportive, and easy to get on/off as I'm heading into the third trimester of my first pregnancy (shoelace tying and untying has become slightly more of an ordeal than I imagined), so when I saw these KEENs in white with the bungee laces I thought I'd hit the jackpot. Unfortunately they just arrived and after adjusting the knot in the laces for a more snug fit and walking around my home, they are just not going to work for me, they're going back. Basically these fit and feel exactly like a well-worn pair of bowling shoes - not what I need as someone who walks everywhere every day in an urban environment. I did see a couple of reviews that mentioned they run small... ?? I ordered the '8.5 / 39EU' and they offer PLENTY of room for my normally 8.5 / 40EU feet at 26 weeks. So just go ahead and order the size you would request at the bowling alley ;)
This is a great shoe for wide feet & foot problems
This is such a comfortable shoe! I have a very wide foot at the toe and narrow/regular at the heel. This shoe has a very wide toe box without looking clunky (like a Birkenstock sneaker, which my other favorite). The arch is firm, but there is not much cushion; however, that is how I like it because too much cushion allows side to side movement in my foot which ends up aggravating some foot issues that I have. The sizing is very consistent with Keen's other shoes, if not a little more generous in width. For anyone comparing this sneaker with the Birkenstock Bend, I wear exactly the same size in each, but the KNX toe box is wider and softer. These also come with the elastic laces which I always buy to add to my other sneakers anyway because of nerve issues on the top of my foot.
Great gym shoe!
This is a great shoe to wear at the gym. The sole is thin enough that I can really stretch my feet and legs, but is too thin for me to wear in other places. The elastic lacing makes it easy to put on and remove when at the gym, and I expect the shoe will last longer as a result.
Best shoes I have ever worn
These shoes are the best shoes I have ever put on my feet. I was searching and ordering and returning all sort of pairs of shoes to wear on a Europe trip where I will be doing lots of walking. As soon as I put these shoes on, I knew I had found the ones. They are absolutely amazing. I barely feel I am wearing a shoe at all. I wear them as often as I can. I love that in addition to feeling amazing they are cute enough to wear with dresses and other nicer outfits. I cannot rave enough about them!!!!
