This little rack has been great so far on rough dirt road tours and laden grocery getting. Amazingly secure for it being quick release. One thing I've noticed, these work really well with panniers/bags that strap securely to a rack without their own quick release mechanism (like Arkel Dry-Lites or the Rockgeist Microwave holsters). You can leave the bags strapped on and just take the whole dang rack off the bike! Handy if you just want to go on a spirited ride with less weight. Another note, because the lower quick release levers require a certain radius to operate, nearby eyelets may be inaccessible (I've had to get creative with my fender stay placement).
I love this rack! It's so easy to remove, and once it is locked in place it doesn't budge. I use it daily for carrying stuff around town, grocery runs, etc. I've also taken it on a couple of light bike tours and it's done a great job. It doesn't rattle or loosen up like some of the cheaper racks, and it can hold a good deal of weight. I do wish it was a bit bigger, but I can usually get it to hold anything I want it to. I love how easy it is to take on and off, so when I want to go for a fast and light ride it's just a few seconds to remove.
This is a great rack and unbelievably wuick to remove. I installed it on my Esker Lorax and it is great for touring/bikepacking/ using my ortlieb backroller classic panniers but I can take it off in 30 seconds for Cyclocross or short fast rides
I saw a review on bike packing.com’s YouTube channel, as well as reviews on REI and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. It was a little complicated to install at first so I went to see some installs on YouTube and was able to get it installed. The best part of the rack is how easy it is to remove. I also got their gravel panniers and they worked great. Finished doing the Erie Canal and had zero problems 👍👍🤪
Sets up easy. Plenty of adaptors with plenty of tire clearance (700x52). Easy to mount Ortlieb bags. Easy to remove and remount rack.
This thing is so sturdy it shocks me for how easy it is to assemble and disassemble. Darn Germans have really mastered bikes and I love it. I use this for bike commuting and grocery shopping with the gravel panniers which are a miracle of engineering
I liked everything about this rack and was looking forward to the easy on/off, but unfortunately I couldn't make it work with our bike (Co-Motion Primera tandem). The combination of the bike's geometry and rear drop-out design means there isn't room for the latch mechanism. The studs mount just fine but the latch lever bumps against the derailleur cable on one side and the disc brake on the other.
The rack went on very easily and is quick to remove. Has multiple options for mounting panniers and bag. The rear light mount was a nice touch after in3d printed an adapter for a Garmin Varia.
Works as advertised. Solid. Easy to afix and remove. Used it bikepacking last weekend with Ortlieb panniers. No worries
Quick and easy to install, and my old panniers fit perfectly. Looking forward to getting out and testing this on the road soon.
