Not a good fit
I purchased this cart to shuttle my 12' Perception Carolina kayak from a kayak rack to the edge of a lake, approximately 65 feet that includes a gentle uphill incline before heading downhill to beach and the lake. The cart is well made, but it did not work for me. I followed the instructions in the videos, kept the kickstand on the downward side of the slope, tried to have the kayak centered on the cart, and tried to get the straps tight around the boat. Keeping the kickstand on the downside of the incline meant that I had to pivot the boat 180º when I reached the water. This was not a deal-breaker, but the slope of the beach was too steep for the cart, and I when I would position the boat where I wanted it on the cart, it would start to slide out of place before I could get the straps tightened. I tried it with the boat perpendicular to the water, and parallel to the water. Neither worked. At one point, the kickstand and cart folded up on itself, and collapsed, along with the kayak, on my foot. That hurt. For three days. The cart would probably work pretty well on more level ground, or with two people.
