THE pump for home/shop use.

I have been through several pumps over the years and all seemed to have some sort of compromise. This one is the best I’ve found. Long hose. Simple connector that seals well. Accurate and easy to read gauge. Sturdy construction. Sharp looks (if that matters) AND priced at a point that doesn’t seem insulting or elitist (cough silica). It’s the pump to own in my opinion.

Air release button poorly place and unneeded

A solid looking, well made pump, I bought this pump because of the large gauge. Although the gauge itself is large, the numbers are not very large or bold. I found the gauge a little hard to read. (I am 65, so perhaps this would only be a problem for older users with less than perfect eyesight). There is a pressure relief valve on the chuck that is placed right where your thumb typically holds the chuck when place it on or off the stem. I find this feature completely unnecessary and I constantly released air out of my tire by accident. Very frustrating. Finally, my previous pump was a Bontrager dual charger. By comparison, the Cannondale take significantly more muscle when pumping up a road tire. Sadly, the Bontrager is not a durable pump and only lasts a few years. I had two of them and they only lasted about 3 years each.

Great pump

Really good pump. Accurate, large, easy to read display and it fits both the normal and the other type of valve that Cannondale uses without any adapter needed.

Easy-to-read pressure gauge, good value

Extra-large pressure gauge is easy to read and matches the pressure reading I get from my separate hand-held gauge. Not as solid-seeming as my previous (Lezyne) floor pump, but initial quality seems good. Seems oriented to high-volume inflating, as opposed to high-pressure. Despite the gauge going higher, it's hard to pump it above 110 psi.

Quality pump for the money....

Excellent tire pump. Super easy to pump up a presta valve tire to 100 psi. I have had several others pumps including the Towpeck 2 stage pump that cost $110.00 (which did not last very long) and this one blows it away. For the money I highly recommend it. If it does not work for you, most likely a quality control issue, try another one. Quality seems good, we will have to see how long it lasts.

GREAT PUMP!

Easy to read and accurate pump at a price that won't break the bank. Especially well designed for MTB tires as the gauge makes it easy to dial in precise tire pressures under 40psi.

Worthless for Presta Valves

I’ve been using an electric air compressor with a presta valve attachment to inflate my bike tires for a couple years now, and while it works great it does take some time to set up and inflate my tires. When I saw this pump go on sale for the Labor Day sale I immediately jumped on it thinking it would make inflating bike tires significantly easier and quicker. Unfortunately after one use I realized I was wrong. I struggled getting the nozzle attached to the presta valve without air leaking out. I could not get a firm seal on either tire valve but was able to inflate by pumping air in faster than it leaked out. Removal of the nozzle was darn near impossible and could not be done without significant air leaking out. Frustrated I immediately went back to my air compressor and got the job done no problem. This pump will definitely be going back to REI.

the Swiss army knife of air pumps

After years of using adapters for bike air pumps for the different bikes with different air valves and a separate air gauge it is now conveniently contained in one device. yipee! nothing to change just pump the tire.
