Bike is sleek and well sized. Was easy to put together when we got it. Like the helmet, this design has small features that feel well thought out. The brakes are easy for my son to reach and use. There is a little detachable strap to the fork that prevents it from spinning all the way around. The kickstand is sturdy. It rides well and smooth—my son loves his new bike. One thing he really wanted was a bell, but there isn’t a good place to put it so he can use it without taking one hand off of the handles. Not a real problem; he is not coordinated enough to use the bell anyway, just something he saw on an older kids bike.
If you're looking for a simple, staright forward starter bike this is a great way to go. First things first.. if you are shipping this to you it is SO EASY to put together. It took me all of 5 minutes to get it unboxed, unwrapped, and put together. The tires were even still pretty full. We haven't put hundreds of miles on it yet but from what my 5 year old tells me it feels great to ride and despite it being lighter than your typical kids bike it also feels very solid and sturdy. Another thing I love is the cable brake instead of the typical "pedal backwards to stop" brake. They both do the trick but its definitely nice for them to get some practice breaking from the handlebar. The only thing I would say that I'm not 5 stars for me is the size of the tires. I'm sure these will be fine but I have liked the bigger tires that have come on some of the other kids bikes we've had.
Pros: easily adjustable seat, great way to learn hand brakes, extremely sturdy for a kids bike (I can even sit on it!) Cons: expensive for something they will grow out of, but I think it’s worth it if you can work out a hand-me-down situation. My 4 year old has been practicing as her first pedal bike - I don’t have any pictures because we are still at the stage of me holding onto the back. It’s been a great bike to transition for her and she is really getting the hang of the hand brakes. Love the green coloring for the rear brake to help with that since she doesn’t know right/left yet.
I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the bike. My son took to it very quickly and I found it much easier to teach him how to ride on this bike than it was with my older daughter. The hand brake and free wheel allowed him to learn to coast, instead of needing to pedal constantly or brake. The bike was delivered almost entirely assembled and it took less than 20 minutes to finish assembly of the pedals and handlebars.
The bike was great. It had great ergonomics and allowed for a comfortable ride. It was easy to put together and it looked fashionable. The only drawback to the bike that I saw was the handle bars I feel like they could of been positioned a little differently to allow for an easier ride.
