woom  ORIGINAL 3 Kids' Bike

Bike is sleek and well sized. Was easy to put together when we got it. Like the helmet, this design has small features that feel well thought out. The brakes are easy for my son to reach and use. There is a little detachable strap to the fork that prevents it from spinning all the way around. The kickstand is sturdy. It rides well and smooth—my son loves his new bike. One thing he really wanted was a bell, but there isn’t a good place to put it so he can use it without taking one hand off of the handles. Not a real problem; he is not coordinated enough to use the bell anyway, just something he saw on an older kids bike.

If you're looking for a simple, staright forward starter bike this is a great way to go. First things first.. if you are shipping this to you it is SO EASY to put together. It took me all of 5 minutes to get it unboxed, unwrapped, and put together. The tires were even still pretty full. We haven't put hundreds of miles on it yet but from what my 5 year old tells me it feels great to ride and despite it being lighter than your typical kids bike it also feels very solid and sturdy. Another thing I love is the cable brake instead of the typical "pedal backwards to stop" brake. They both do the trick but its definitely nice for them to get some practice breaking from the handlebar. The only thing I would say that I'm not 5 stars for me is the size of the tires. I'm sure these will be fine but I have liked the bigger tires that have come on some of the other kids bikes we've had.

I have a 4-year-old daughter and ordered her this bike based on its weight and reviews and I am super glad I did. I left the pedals off so she could use it as a kick bike and learn to balance. After about a month she told me she was ready for the pedals, so I put them on. Before I could even pull out my camera she was pedaling down the street. Proud moment for a dad!Now we ride almost every night with her smiling from ear-to-ear. The only thing I added was a safety flag but other than that the bike has been perfect. All the slightly older neighbor kids and parents have noticed her riding and have asked me about the Woom. I highly recommend it.

We got our 5 year old the Woom 3 for her birthday, same color as the Woom 2 she'd be pushing around for a while. We told her that her last birthday present was in the garage, and when we opened the garage door, it was right in front of her, but she just kept looking around for her present because she didn't notice the pedals until we pointed them out. And then she was HYPED. Two sessions later and she's pedaling around confidently and stopping with ease another kiddo at the blacktop where she was learning didn't have hand breaks and she was having a lot of trouble stopping. Made me very happy that we started with Woom bikes from the beginning :D

Warning: this review is written by a bike snob. Our first pedal bike was a Prevelo and we loved it, but we thought it was rather heavy for our three-year-old. So when it was time to get a bigger size we went with Woom because they don't weigh as much. Woom bikes are expensive and I expected better for what we paid. We've had to adjust the wheels, brakes, chain, etc. multiple times to get it to ride correctly. It's been frustrating and time consuming (definitely more than the five minutes Woom advertises), and I wish we had bought another Prevelo. You can tell the difference in quality between the two, and the Woom just feels cheap in comparison.

The first bike we bought our son was the cleary brand, which was much heavier than advertised and the ergonomics were not great. We decided to accept the loss and buy a Woom bike. What a difference! The Woom is much lighter, actually weighs what it is advertised to weigh, and all around has a much higher fit and finish. I will definitely be buying my kids Woom bikes going forward. Highly recommend. - these are not cheap bikes, but you get what you pay for with much higher quality, better ergonomics, and much lighter weight. My son never liked riding the cleary bike and was never enthusiastic about riding.... but now I cannot get him off his Woom.

Our son had a woom 1 for a balance bicycle and rode it for 2 years and loved it. He now just turned 4 and is 41 inches tall and we decided to skip over the woom 2 and get the woom 3. He was super excited to have a bicycle with pedals and he was pretty much able to ride it out of the box after one practice session since he had prior experience with the woom 1 balance bicycle (and usually he's not the most coordinated kid). He was even able to use the breaks correctly because his balance bicycle had a hand break. We just got the woom 3, so I can't comment on it's durability, but his woom 1 that he rode for 2 years is still in near perfect condition.

We ordered the WOOM bike in purple, the color is exactly how it looks in the picture along with all the amazing well built features just for my 5yr old. She started riding a balance bike when she was 3 and became very comfortable with balancing, riding hills, and turning. She wanted to try riding the WOOM the second she saw it and started riding within an hour. Im amazed that she picked it up so quickly! I think the combination of the balance bike experience and the WOOM structure and thought that went into creating this bike for children this age is a dynamic combination. I have to go now because shes begging me to ride her WOOM bike, so worth it.

My son recommended buying this bike for my grandson...and he runs a bike shop! While I had his professional help to put it together (he declared it very easy to do), we have been thrilled from the first moment. My grandson, age 5, received a little verbal instruction about the use of handbrakes and he hopped on, and rode off! He did have some experience from one of those balance bikes which helped. But, we were thrilled to see him take off. Thanks for providing such a high quality, well built bike for our little ones. The color blue is beautiful and I was able to match helmet nearly perfectly. We will be back when he outgrows this one!

Bought for my 4 year old as his first pedal bike. He previously had a balance bike (although not used for a while due to a move). It took him 10 minutes (no exaggeration) to get to grips with the Woom, including using the breaks...then he was off! The lightweight construction makes it easy for little ones to pedal and gain momentum, keeping them upright and engaged with learning. The geometry of the bike means he is comfortable; can easily reach the breaks and feels safe and confident. I was skeptical at this price point but can safely say this is well worth the money, and I am so thankful that I bought this bike. Happy parents and a very happy child!
