Received different colors than advertised
I ordered the Blue Spruce 3L Allpa Hip Pack which duplicated the product is a nice soft blue with yellow zipper on front and blue zipper on back in the picture on the REI site under that product color. I received a product “Allpa X 3L Hip Pack Blue Spruce/Abyss but it is not blue and has an orange zipper and a teal zipper - greyish first pocket and teal inside the pockets and teal outside of pack. I do like the product but am disappointed with color. I did look on the Cotopaxi website and this color combination was not shown either.
The perfect pair for my 42 Allpa and travel buddy
I bought this hip pack thinking it was just the pair for my Maritime 42L Allpa, though it proved to be mighty on its own! It looks amazing contrasting the Orange with Blue tones, but what I did not expect was how much it fits. I had my keys, wallet, phone, portable charger, cables, passports, boarding tickets, and other goodies. My pockets were EMPTY. I went through X-rays with zero hassle and instantly fell in love with it. At first I did not think of owning a hip pack, but now I don’t have to worry about carrying things in my pockets (or forgetting something) because I just have to pick it up and have everything packed in one place.
Great update to the Allpa 4L Pack
I have used and loved the prior design of this--the Allpa 4L. But this pack makes some key upgrades. It fixes my biggest complaint with the 4L, which was that the waist strap was very narrow, especially if you wear it over your shoulder. On this bag, the waist strap is nice and wide, and the buckle straps on the side that keep the front flap shut are smaller (which makes sense--they were way oversized on the 4L). This pack is also more rectangular than the 4L pack. It doesn't actually really feel a lot smaller, but it is lighter. I agree that the side zip inside the front flap is an improvement over the top zip (which, if you opened the flap, became a bottom zip). The top grab handle is also a nice improvement over the hanging loop on the 4L. So glad that Cotopaxi took one of my favorite bags, and made this new version even better.

I was so excited there was finally a sale and I could get one of these before my trip to New Zealand! I was looking for something to use as my new daily bag to replace my Kavu, as well as comfortable to hike with as a durable compact daypack (I live in Montana), and it’s perfect. It’s just the size I was hoping for, the colors are exactly right, and it’s so comfortable in every wearable way. 10/10 on my first Cotopaxi item.
Perfect for theme parks!
I used this bag for a trip to theme parks in Orlando. It carried all the gear my daughter and I needed for the day—tickets, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, snacks, a collapsible water bottle, and had room for my sunglasses while I was on the rides. The hip pack style can be worn on most rides so it was perfect! I wore it as a fanny pack, cross body, and over one shoulder. Perfect for theme parks!
The most beautiful pack
Cotopaxi, also known as “the most wholesome outdoorsy brand” makes some of the most loved and cherished pieces in my collection. Since discovering Cotopaxi, I’ve purchased multiple items and have not yet been disappointed; This hip pack is no exception. Great care and attention is given to every item, and I am sure you will not be disappointed should you decide to give this Allpa X 3L Hip Pack a try. 3L is a great size for a hip pack if you absolutely need to carry all the essentials. I trust this pack with be with me for many adventures to come. Journey on.
I love this hip pack!
It’s so spacious, yet so comfortable and not bulky! This hip pack is perfect for airport travel, as a daily bag, and for short hikes. I can fit a sketch book, my switch, or a regular size paperback book in the main pocket and still have plenty of room for snacks and essentials. I love that almost all of the inner pockets have zippers so I can make sure I don’t loose my stuff and keep the compartments organized. It feels so durable and well made. This is my first Cotopaxi product and I am hooked. I have been making an effort to only purchase from quality brands that are dedicated to reducing waste and creating products designed for longevity. Plus the fact that this brand is willing to repair products instead of push waste and new ones on you?! Cotopaxi is a breath of fresh air.
Great Size!
Love how large it is! It can comfortably fit a standard switch without a case! Could probably fit a switch OLED well too, maybe just needing to detach the controllers, worst case. I was commuting to work on a bicycle with a couple items in a bag that I couldn't comfortably fit in my pockets and this makes it so that I don't have to carry around a whole backpack or deal with the back sweat. This also helped me make the decision to size down from a 35L to a 28L once I eventually buy the Allpa backpack. Definitely reccomend getting one if you're considering a larger bag or have a non-car commute of any sort!
AMAZING JOB ON THE NEW DESIGN!!
I have long loved my 4L pack with 2 minor caveats- 1- front compartment was awesome because it folded all the way down (until you forgot to zip the internal zipper and half of your stuff was on the ground.) The new design with the side zip is brilliant! Especially for forgetful people in a hurry :) Also, the new placement of the key clasp is perfect! My other gripe was the piece of ribbon that held the key clasp was right along the zipper, meaning I would somehow zip it into the zipper and couldn’t fully open my pack half the time. I eventually just cut it off, but won’t have to worry about that this time! Now, can you please make everything in this color scheme, bc it is my fave!!!
Allpa 3L
Overall, I really like it - good organization and feel. I was hoping to wear it crossbody like I do with the other smaller Cotopaxi bags I have but it’s not comfortable. The hip belt flaps feel awkward if wearing the bag as a cross body bag. This one is a true fanny pack, roomy and great but expect to wear it around your waist.
