Not what i was expecting

First off, I love the colors of this pack, I got the blue with brown zippers. Well this pack isn't what I was expecting, I was disappointed that the shoulder straps or not padded and that the zippers were not the waterproof zippers. I was also hoping for something a little bit bigger as I need a pack for Canyon operations with our fire department and I was hoping this the bill. I was expecting something a little closer in size and features to the 2-day pack that I already have and love. This will not work for me but it might be a good pack for just a day hiker.

Great bag that doesn't fit the 58-yr-old Dad body

I'm so disappointed! This a great bag. The access points are great. The quality looks awesome. The little things are done right. Unfortunately, my 35 yrs of indolent, desk bound lifestyle means this bag won't fit my luscious curves and teddy bear physic. I still get out here in Colorado, but apparently not enough for this quality bag. Check the specs before you buy. If it fits, wear it.

geat small pack

have had the pack a couple weeks now and have only gotten to use it once for a xc ski tour and liked it. Have been looking for a smaller daypack (18-22 ltrs) for sometime and I was glad MR brought out the Gallagator; liked the 3 zipper feature, but until the Gallagator came out, it was only on larger packs which I already have plenty of- so love that feature! the only things I wish the pack had were a padded waistbelt and padded shoulders, especially if maxing out the pack with stuff. The quality is top notch, of course, it is light and simple and the foliage color is awesome- blends in w/out being camo. I look forward to spring-fall hikes w/ it!

Perfect Semi-technical Day Bag

Had this for a few months now and traveled quite extensively with it. The material stretches a fair amount allowing you to get away with overstuffing the bag to an extent. I normally use it as an urban / light duty hike pack and my carry on personal item. Fits under the seat well but has just enough volume in the top lid to hold charger, earbuds, passport, pen, etc plus some extras, and the tri zip is 100% the best thing in pack design to ever happen. Easily access your top layer from the lid zip, or grab something from the bottom with the vertical zipper. I'm planning to add a Coulee 30 as a longer duration carry on as well.

Solid day bag

Got this pack to replace another bag I had for several years and a couple deployments. This is my first MR bag and I can say I'm a huge fan of the size and tri zip design already. The build quality is good, although I'm not blown away- but it is an entry level bag. It fits everything I need on a day to day, carries my water and other items I use often, and does so at a solid price. My only quips are the lack of additional storage pockets inside the bag, and the need for a slightly rigid frame to take this to the level I think it should be. would absolutely buy again though.

Needs more compartments

Feels great and fits great. I’m 5” and compared to the In-and-Out 19 pack, it fits perfectly after adjusting. It’s a good backpack but I personally think it would be better if it had more pockets. It’s basically the Urban Assault Lite. It’s a great hiking backpack but not really convenient for my everyday use because I have to dig through all my stuff to find what I’m looking for. I wouldn’t return it because I got the yellow color and I love the look of it.

Great day bag

First off it's a great bag . It's lightweight and I love the layout of the bag ...I can see what the skipped out on to get to this price point I would have loved to see more padding on the shoulder straps the "padding" that's on there is just about useless. I don't know how much it would have cost to add a few pockets to the inside flaps but that would be nice to see .over all I love the bag

The perfect day bag

I used my new bag on a week trip to Oklahoma, plenty of hiking, morning fishing, camping in general. Holds a ton of stuff, I love the way it opens, makes things accessible without having to completely open your pack. For its size it holds full size insulated bottles which is impressive. My last day of fishing I got rained on and it beaded up really well. Must buy for an awesome daypack
