Good quality product with bad lid gasket design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We previously bought the smaller version of this pot. It is really great. When the 5L version arrived, I noticed immediately that the lid did not sit securely on the pot. It tends to slide around on top of the pot instead of fitting down into it. Initially I thought this must be a defective lid and reached out to the warranty department. Their response was fairly quick and they sent out a new lid. Unfortunately it was exactly the same. After a further conversation they acknowledged the design was not ideal. Apparently it is due to the full accessories being able to nest. I fully recommend the 3L version but the 5L has this issue.

Do not buy!

We used this pot for one week on a Coleman dual burner propane stove. It developed 2 large holes in the silicone portion.

Well built, multi purpose and efficient storage!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This great for use during camping or even at home! It can be not only be used for induction but gas cooktop as well! Easy to clean and store. Because it is collapsible so doesn’t feel bulky and is in fact lightweight! This great for cookout or pot luck as the lid locks, while food is secured can be traveled safely with, and food will still remain hot! The pot is a size that if it’s just you or one other person you can eat out of the pot directly!

Great concept, mixed execution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start off by saying that I ultimately do quite like this product, and I can recommend it if you're in need of a good portable cooking pot. However I do feel that it could definitely be better, and it falls short in a few ways (especially considering the price). Out of the box, this feels and looks high-quality. Most of the body is stainless steel with only the middle section being silicon - this gives it a more premium feel than I was expecting. It's easy to collapse and expand the pot, I really love the portability aspect which works as well as I hoped. And I have no issues cooking in it, it heats up fairly quickly and works perfectly on both gas and induction. There's a lot of usability here, and not just for outdoor activities. If you have a small kitchen like I do, this thing really comes in handy. Now here come the cons. First of all, the locking handles (which lock the lid in place) are just terrible. They are extremely finicky, making them difficult to lock and unlock, they don't want to wiggle out of place and they tend to get stuck. They're small and poorly-made, and I don't like how they completely detach from the pot, I wish there was a place to keep them when not in use. Also, the design of the lid is also odd, it's only *very slightly* wider than the mouth of the pot, so it's difficult to get a tight seal since you have to line it up perfectly. If it were just a half-inch wider this wouldn't be an issue. But here's my main gripe: the stainless steel is not very stainless! Anybody who's familiar with SS knows that the material can stain (with hard water/mineral buildup/etc, I'm not sure what the exact term is but you know what I mean, those white/clear spots that develop on SS cutlery) especially if you don't dry it quickly after washing it. But this pot just takes that to a whole other level. After my first time using it, literally the entire bottom of the inside is covered in water spots. And it's difficult to remove, even with my tried-and-true cleaning methods! Again I'm very familiar with SS, I cook in it all the time, but this is just too much. I have never owned a SS pot that has discolored this quickly. I don't know what the issue is, are they using a cheap material or what? But it's very frustrating and makes me less likely to use this pot over others. All-in-all, I love the idea here and this thing really comes in handy. Perfect for camping, small spaces etc. But I hope the company goes back to the drawing board and tweaks some of the issues on display here (lousy lid and handles/stainless steel that's very prone to discoloration). I can still recommend it, as I said, but these issues bring down an otherwise great product, and I expect more considering the premium price tag.

Absolute worthless junk

Don't be fooled into thinking high price equals quality. Our pot split apart after only one use with an induction oven. Rubber is not meant for high temperatures and steel expand at different rates so the seal between the steel and the rubber breaks almost immediately leaving you with a gaping hole in your pot. I'm disappointed in REI for selling this junk.

Worth it !!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pot is nicer than any pot or pan I have ever had in my life 😂 it’s so cool and very convenient not only if you were taking it camping or on vacation but even for everyday use because it’s storage and space friendly!! It’s very well made and high quality steel. It is quite expensive though after reading up on it after getting it !

Not the best purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s not what I expected. Really small in size but has a good durability, great heat distribution and resistance. Easy to clean and light weight
