I feel compelled to leave a review because I absolutely love this vest. I do see where another reviewer is coming from with the bottles being slightly difficult to get back into the vest but I’ve found that there’s a little learning curve to it but then becomes much easier when you have done it a few times. I choose to believe it helps with the lack of bounce factor. I love this vest for the sleek pockets- no wasted space. Two zipper pockets are super useful and it’s so comfortable. I identify as a backpacker primarily but bought this for my first ultra in Zion and it did well so I’ll be using it for my next race too!
Fabric felt great, pockets placed in good location, but bottles are impossible to load, no matter what I try, which makes this vest unusable because it is not bladder compatible either. I am not sure how this vest passed the testing because the bottle openings are super narrow and barely stretch. Also, it has no whistle. I am bummed because I like all the pockets and fabric, just not a fan of stripes which I think further restrict the bottle access and will most likely to peel off over time anyway.
