Sizing Notes
Allbirds fit true to size for most customers. If you have wide feet or prefer a roomier fit to accommodate toe splay, we suggest sizing up. If you are in between sizes we recommend sizing up for all styles except for Tree Runner styles (size down for those).

Casual shoe with fresh, clean aesthetics
I received this shoe a couple of weeks ago, and overall I really like the shoe. It’s a very clean and lightweight shoe that I have been wearing everywhere I go. Right off the bat, I will say that although it is named “tree runner” this is not a well-built and dedicated running shoe. This is a casual, every day, walking around and looking fresh kind of shoe. That being said, I did wear them to the gym a few times and they can definitely withstand that. The first feature that I really enjoy is the sole. It is soft, bouncy, and actually has fantastic arch support. I would avoid wearing these in muddy/wet weather as I could see the foam being difficult to clean. Second, I really enjoy the upper material. It’s a clean, fabric mesh-like material that breathes really easily. Third, and as I have mentioned previously, the shoe looks really nice and casual. I’ve gotten several complements on them already! Lastly, they are very comfy. I have not taken them off at the end of the day and felt any foot pain. Overall, it’s a really nice shoe. I am curious to see how they hold up overtime because they are so light, however I am a big fan.
Lightweight Joggers!
I was not sure about the soles of the shoes at first, but after wearing them for a week, I can absolutely say that these are GREAT jogging shoes or shoes for wearing around. The arch support in the Allbirds are some of the best that I have experienced after having worn hundreds of running shoes over the years. The insoles have great cushioning and they are also very light weight which is always nice. The build feels very durable and they material is definitely quality. Living in Texas, getting hot is all but certain, but the Allbirds are lightweight and breezy, helping the feet feel much better after a run. Highly recommend Allbirds!
Mostly comfortable but look elsewhere
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I have a couple of other pairs of Allbirds that I love and have had for years, but this is my first time trying their running shoes. They're decently good looking, enough that they don't necessarily scream "running shoes" like some other styles and brands. First putting them on, they felt pretty comfortable and the fit was good. However, once I took my first few steps I knew I'd never wear them for a run, and might not even wear them for long walks. The amount of heel lift was crazy, and the inside sole, while comfortable, seems so high that it felt like my heel would pop out of the shoe. I don't know that sizing down would help, it would just make the rest of the fit uncomfortable. If you had a thinner sole maybe it would work, but these just didn't do it for me.
Overall good construction but can be uncomfortable
Good quality shoe overall but wearing them for longer than a few hours it starts to be uncomfortable. Lifted heel is higher than what I’m accustomed to. I do like that it’s breathable and the shoe can be dressed up and down. For the price it’s fine but I wouldn’t be lining up outside to get them.
Go Anywhere Allbirds
These are very comfortable and versatile shoes. I’ve worn them walking, jogging, mini golfing, and they even work great when carting the kids around to soccer and football fields. This is not my first pair of Allbirds and definitely won’t be my last!
Sustainable Soft Roader
My experience with the Allbirds Tree Runner Go is a bit of a mixed bag. There are things it does well and others which could be improved. The upper is very light and breathes well - casual abrasion resistance seems good, too, and I even like the color. The heel cushioning is spot-on and I never encountered any bottoming out or soreness. Laces and eyelets are durable and will stand up to your personal level of adjustment. Where the heel cushion was good - I found the forefoot and toe cushioning to be marginal. Even walking on the asphalt streets around my town (admittedly, not the smoothest of roads) I noticed any pointy rock or obstruction underfoot and was wishing for another millimeter or two of cushion from the front ball through the toes. In addition, there is absolutely zero discernable arch support afforded by the relatively thick, but easily compressed insoles. These are glued down, so it may be possible to use your favorite insoles. However, keep in mind the Tree Runner Go has, in my experience, a slightly smaller internal volume than I would expect for this size - so, any insole replacement most likely have to be very thin. Lastly, I would add I'm not a big fan of white-bottomed shoes - they just show everything from day 1 and these particular soles began showing what I would consider as above-average wear after even the first 5-mi walk around town. I don't know how well they will hold up over time. For me, this shoe is a pass as a walker, but would make for a nice casual runabout.
Walking on clouds
My initial impression is that these shoes are extremely comfortable. I've owned several other models from this company, and I'll say that these have far more cushion. The material makes it quite breathable in warmer weather, but don't wear them if it is raining. I look forward to wearing these around as the summer approaches! With this company, I'm also a big fan of being able to throw them into the washing machine to clean them in case they get dirty.
Great Multipurpose Shoe
I have another pair of Allbirds that aren't running shoes and just for casual wear so I was expecting a similar experience. I'm happy to say that these exceeded my expectations. While they weren't as lightweight as traditional casual Allbirds, they were still light and very comfortable right from the get-go. I tried them out on a brisk walk first with my dog and on pavement and running with her on the grass felt balanced and I was very pleased of how it worked on grass. Normally in my experience when running or walking across grass I don't feel the best traction but somehow I did not feel that all zig-zagging with my dog across a field. The next day I did my normal 3 mile jog and had no issues at all. I do wonder how long the sole will last but so far it's been grippy and supportive on pavement and I'll be using these moving forward.
Multipurpose shoe
I've used this shoe for some travel, around town, and a for a couple easy runs. Fit: fits true to size. However, the heel cup is a bit shallow, and therefore can feel relatively looser than the forefoot Comfort: The upper is a bit more reinforced than some of the other similar offerings. There's more support, but at the tradeoff of more weight. The sole is thicker with more support, but again with more of a heel to toe drop and weight Overall: this shoe tries to bridge between a runner and a dasher but does neither super well. If you were to have one shoe, it's good, but kinda a weird niche.
Blue Birds
Love the new tree runners. Comfy, supportive and stylish.
