SO Good I Bought One For a Friend!

I borrowed this hydration pack from a friend, immediately fell in love, bought both the active skin 4 and 12 for the varying seasons and length of adventures here in NW Montana. In the summer, I can carry both squeeze bottles, the bladder, bear spray, collapsable bowl and treats for my dog, a light rain jacket, several SaltStick packets, gels/energy chews, and hiking poles comfortably in the 4. Clearly it was designed and tested to fit like a lightweight glove while still being versatile. The 12 is magically glove-fitting-like and lightweight also but can carry SO MANY clothes. I loved so much I bought the 4 for a friend who was also futzing with her pack and now she's a super fan.

Great vest, it didn't make me feel hotter at all. The heat in the day was crazy, but the vest didn't really add to it. I liked how it kept everything in the back completely dry. Its a very sturdy vest and doesn't seem like it will tear easily.

I'm a regular 5 to 20k+ runner, who had previously held off from buying a vest over fit / cost concerns, however I'm over the moon with this product, it's excellent and already helping to keep me going for longer. It's actually my first Salomon bit of kit. I'm 47 years old, 179cm tall with a fairly athletic build (for age) after buying both medium and large, I choose the medium and returned the other one. The medium felt very snug, but I’m glad I opted for that one as once loaded up with water, phone and other bits it sits just perfectly, no bounce and just right. Salomon where excellent on return of the unwanted large, issuing a refund within days of return. Highly recommend this vest.

I bought this as my first vest for run, and it’s the perfect fit ! The bottle didn’t juggle , easy to wear and so light ! I love it ! Love all the pocket to put your gel during the race or keys !

Great for longer runs

Getting into longer distance running and this is perfect for carrying food and water needed during longer efforts. The provided water bottles are good for a 2-3 hour effort and it's nice to have the option to add a water bladder for longer runs. The mesh is comfortable and breathable. There's a back pouch which is big enough for a light jacket. Front clasp is adjustable which is nice

I’ll admit it, I was pretty skeptical about switching to a running vest. I’ve been loyal to belts and handhelds for years, and I wasn’t sure strapping something to my torso would feel… right. But honestly? This Salomon vest totally won me over. It fits so naturally that after a few miles, I forgot I was even wearing it. I’ve taken it out on everything from a casual 13-miler to a 30-mile effort, and each time, it just blends into the run like it’s part of me. The storage is impressive, like, dangerously so. I recently found snacks stashed in a pocket from a run two weeks ago. It’s like a squirrel designed it: compact, organized, and always hiding food somewhere. Bottom line: If you’re on the fence, give it a shot. Your back (and your snack stash) will thank you.

I wish I had bought ACTIVE SKIN 4 sooner! The quality is outstanding, and the materials are both durable and breathable. The smart design ensures that everything, from keys to gear, stays secure and doesn't bounce while running. The vest fits great and is adjustable via an elastic cord at the front. It's lightweight and vented, so you hardly realize you're wearing it. Additionally, there is plenty of storage, and the water bottles are fantastic. Overall, it's a solid 5 out of 5 stars for me.

I bought this as it comes highly recommended by everyone. However, I quickly returned it when I saw how rough the material was. As someone who likes wearing only sports bras on top when running, I could already tell that the material will cause me to chafe everywhere. Ordered the Sense Pro 6 instead which has better quality. It’s probably fine if you wear a tshirt or anything that prevents direct skin contact.
