Too tight on ankles and calf

It is too tight on ankles and calf. For almost $100 I would expect a design with a better fit, like other athletic brands do, at least a zipper in ankle area. Returning.

Glad I purchased these!

Love these - so much that I debate if I should get a 2nd pair so I can stop wearing the same ones everyday, LOL! I wore these with the Patagonia Wind Shield Pants in Utah after Christmas during the cold/snowy days. The layering was light yet warm enough! I honestly was surprised....I was fearful they would not keep me warm, but they did! These are my "go-to" warmer hiking leggings. Either as a base layer or by themselves depending on the weather. I've worn and washed many, many times now and still in good condition. An absolute staple and fav for me for colder weather.

Great fit! MN runner says warm for 25-30?? runs.

These tights fit amazing! I???m 5???4, 140# and bought a size M. I love the compression fit and the back pocket. I can squeeze a water bottle in the side, it sticks out a little but won???t fall out. The snug fit around the ankle is great for wind blocking. No issues with any kind of slipping or falling down, they stay put! They will work best for temps down to 20??, but below that, depending how long you run, your legs will get cold. I am usually running in 0-5?? temps for about an hour and need something better to shield my upper legs. I pair this with the thermal notch hoodie and shield 2.0 jacket, great combination for winter running.

Seams splitting after 4 wears

I have, and absolutely love, Brooks Greenlight Capris, so decided to try these for cold weather running. Per the recommendations, I sized up even though my Greenlights are baggy around my waist. If you are buying these for cold weather, they aren't that great. If you are looking for a pair of quality tights, look elsewhere. I wore these four times, and the seams in the back came unraveled. Super grateful for the REI return policy, because $95 for tights that self-destruct isn't a good investment.

These are the pants.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pants are excellent. The cuff at the ankle is similar to the wristband of a sweatshirt, doesn't pinch. The material is like a legging material but much thicker, in a good way. They fit like a snug jogger. You can honeslt wear these to workout or casually as well. I have worn them on a run and I have also dressed them up a little with a tshirt and jean jacket. Nice roomy pockets with a zip. Stretchy but not see through or shiny. I consider myself a legging and jogger expert and these are the perfect hybrid. Would give these 100 stars if I could.

Item has been updated and improved

There are reviews that reference seams splitting, and I actually tried on a pair of these tights at the garage sale and they had a split in the front calf diagonal seam. The leggings I received are different than these photos, so I think the design has been improved. They have cuffs at the ankle and they do not have the diagonal seams at all. So far, so good! The size small is not extremely tight (I'm 5', 118-120 range, and athletic/curvy) and definitely not compressive on me. The drawstring kept them up at my waist but I was worried they might slip down.

Comfortable and perfect for cold weather workouts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To my surprise I really like these running tights, they are my new go to. I live in the mountains, colder climates, and find these to be perfect for my weather conditions. They stay up well and have the perfect amount of compression up top. Very soft on the inside and pockets are a plus to place my phone. I don’t think I’d change anything. These are good quality and I would recommend to others looking for a good pair to use during workouts. Ive worn nine, running, walking and lifting weights.

The Right Tights

The tights are very well made, using high quality materials, the fit is extremely comfortable. These tights (being thermal) are not bulky or heavy. They are exactly what I wanted and expected. I can't wait to try them outside on a cold Upstate New York day! Regarding the sizing I find Brooks Clothing runs about 1/2 size smaller than other garments. I wear a 0-2 and often order extra-small, except with Brooks I order 1/2 size larger, so I take a size small instead of extra small. I have zero complaints about Brooks clothing - the quality and materials are excellent and superior to all other brands I have tried.

High quality pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These thermal pants have a great snug fit that is stylish and functional. I am usually a size 6, sometimes 8, and the mediums are just fitting- a tiny bit tight at the waist so if you prefer loose fit size up. I love how they feel for running and just all day wear. We’ve had some chilly mornings and they are my new go-to, they are definitely warmer than my regular workout leggings. The only thing I’d change is the waistband to make a bit wider and flexible but I haven’t had a problem wearing them all day long. I’ll definitely be reaching for these from cool to cold morning runs through the fall winter and spring.

Finally warm!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These kept me very warm and as a bonus, the pants are super cute, a friend saw me wearing them and ordered them for herself. While the pants are waterproof and great for running in the rain or snow, the cuff is still very soft which makes them still appealing to put on when it's cold. I don't like the pulls on the zippers, they're those tiny metal ones which are tricky when I'm wearing gloves. I also somehow managed to tie a very tight knot in the drawstring which I haven't been able to untie. I think that they run a bit large, so I'd size down unless you're tall. I'm 5'9" and while the mediums are a little big for me, I think that the small would have been shorter than I'd enjoy.

Really wanted to love!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited when I opened the package. The ribbed detail on the ankle and waist is so pretty! They are thick and very high end feeling so I was so excited to try on. I am 142lb and 5’6” and I ordered a medium. It was hard to get my foot thru the ankle and my butt felt like it was going to bust the seam, I am not very curvy either. I tried the large and the ankles were still tricky to get on, they felt fine one thru. The butt and waist was way too big and kept sliding down and sagging. So bummed since I love the texture, feel and look of these tights! They would be perfect for the Wisconsin winters that I deal with. Much thicker than my other brands: I must be between sizes. I have an iPhone 14 and an otterbox case and it would not fit in the side pockets. The back hidden pocket is also a feature I love. Really wish these would have worked for me.
