Could not wear
Feet were OK but calf portion far too small and non-stretchable. I could not wear these and gave them away.
Pay a Little More, get a Superior Product!
Smartwool. The only way to go. What I absolutely love about these socks is how they wick away moisture, breath, and actually keep your feet dry. . . somehow, within your shoes. I can actually wear these things. . . . multiple days in a row, which seems impossible, but true. They don't stink up like other socks made from other materials. AND, they last a long time. My recent order was because my multiple years old Smartwools were getting thread bare. Pay a little more, get a superior product. Simple as that.
I Love these socks!
I'm so excited to have these socks since I have typically ordered from another company (that no longer meets my needs). I wear fashionable soft New Zealand wool socks on a daily basis that are comfortable, stylish, and impede moisture collection. This material keeps my feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I am also glad that there is no padding on the toe or heel which allows my feet to fit comfortably in my shoes.
Zero cushion, not light
These are not light cushion, they are zero cushion. REI’s error.
I wish there was a Smartwool sock with no elastic
About ten years ago I bought 3 pair of everyday Smartwool socks . . . they were beautiful colors and patterns, and they didn't have much elastic in them. This summer I sadly discovered a hole in the big toe place and so I bought two more pair from Smartwool . . . but alas, they squeeze my ankles, so tight and I have pretty thin ankles. I'm trying to stretch them out . . . don't know yet if I will succeed.
Warm toes in cool colors
I live in San Diego so ""warm wool socks"" is relative, but I'm very happy. I have an older pair (15years?) of smart wool socks that are a bit snug all around. this time I bought the large (shoe size 10) and and super happy. They are noticeably less wool then my old pair, but the stretch better and are a bit softer,
Not the same quality I was so fond of in the past
A bit disappointed. The quality does not seem to match that of years ago. Parts of one of my socks were already had tiny spots where the thread was loose. I used to be a huge fan, all my socks were Smartwools, but honestly, I am not thrilled with these two pairs I got
Just what I was looking for
I searched for a nice thin pair of wool socks to wear daily. I found EXACTLY what I wanted on my first try with Smartwool. I am extremely happy with them after washing them and wearing them daily now. I wear Salomon Hikers and they are perfect with them.
Best socks ever!
I used to have all kinds of different socks for different shoes but once I discovered these, they are all I want to wear! Soft, warm, and comfortable. They stay put and are easy to take care of. Washer & Dryer and ready to go! And they are super cute!
Favorite socks ever
I have been wearing Smartwool socks for years. They are my go to socks in the winter. They are comfortable, soft, warm and wash well. I have received many compliments. I have nothing negative to say about them. (they make great gifts too)
