I've been using Smartwool socks since the late 90's when I was looking for quality socks while mountain biking, it didn't matter if it was warm or cold out, they kept my feet comfortable and I've been using them ever since. I purchased these crew socks because I was looking for some comfortable socks to wear now that the weather was turning colder, I use the shorter socks in the summer since I'm usually in shorts. They have not disappointed. Great socks (a little pricey) but I really like them.

My Spend-all-day-in-the-garden socks
Because of the light cushion and crew length of this sock, it is perfect to wear with jeans when I know the work in the yard may be wet, muddy, slippery. . . I live in the tropics and spend hours working in the yard managing jungle-like yard. These socks, even when they get wet while I am power washing my driveway, stay comfy. . . and I never get blisters. These socks are great for hiking as well. I only buy Smartwool. . . my feet are worth it!

I wear wool socks all year round. I prefer the wicking offered by wool. Smartwool socks have been my go to socks for over 10 years. I recently tried a competitor's brand and found they did not last as long as the Smartwool socks I own (had issues with the other brand sporting holes in the toe and heel in less than a year). Yes, wool socks cost a bit more, but they also last longer and, in my opinion, are more comfortable than synthetic blends.

SmartWool Crews to the Rescue
I bought these to wear when mowing. My former socks were knee high and very snug. I have an outdoor shower for cleaning off after working outside. It was difficult to remove tight sweaty knee high socks at the end of the day. The Smartwool crew socks are an ideal solution. They're very soft. Stay up. And the crew height provides a little ventilation. They're also easy to remove.
