Smartwool  Everyday Solid Rib Crew Socks

First the only reason for two stars is the fact they are like all smart wool products in being very comfortable. Now I ordered 5 pairs of these everyday socks because I have been very pleased with all my hiking socks from smart wool. One pair had a hole at the seam after one wear. Two weeks later another sock had a hole at the seam. I bought these because the comfort and durability of my other smart wool socks, but these will not last 3 months. Warranty claim for the first pair was filed two weeks ago and zero word from Smartwool

The only reason for 2 stars is the fact these are very comfortable. Any less comfortable and these would be 1 star. I have multiple smartwool products, including many pairs of hiking socks. All those products have been great in both comfort and durability. These however have no durability. Bought 5 pairs and one pair developed a hole at the seam on the first wear. Another pair had the same problem in two weeks. Contacted the company and filed the warranty and have received zero communication since. Would not recommend

Purchased them to replace same Smartwool model socks that were about 20+? years old. Though the old ones have no holes yet, they’ve really thinned out on the heel cord part and looks like they’ll tear out soon. This color was on sale so I decided to get them for future use. I hope they re-issue the taupe color in this style as I ‘need’ light colored ones to replace the others soon too. If quality is as excellent as before, these should last another 20 years or so. They keep my feet just cool or warm enough depending on the season and cushioning is just about right for me. Even if you can put it in the dryer, it’s best to just have them air dry as they dry quick anyway.

100% love these socks! I went with the reviews, and ordered the Small even though I usually get a Medium. Great call because the Small fits perfect. I have a couple of light cushion socks in size Medium, and I feel like it's too much cushion. More than I would want in a hiking sock. They seem best for me to be used for lounging around the house socks and keeping my feet very warm. Which is great, but it's too much for me on a hike. However, these blue ones I might be able to use for hiking as well. Love these!

I've been looking for a pair of black socks for the winter that are warm, soft, not TOO thick (or too thin) and nice-looking enough (but also neutral-looking enough) that they kind of work with everything and THESE ARE IT. I can wear them with every pair of shoes I have, with jeans and clogs or with dresses peeking out of my boots and they look good every way. They're so warm and soft, and I basically want all of my socks to be these socks now. I'm a size 7-7. 5 and the M fits me perfectly.

Perfect this time! I love the rich blue color, the softness, and a little extra wiggle room for my toes. I have a long narrow foot and wear a woman's size 8. 5 or a size 9 shoe depending on the manufacturer. In the past I have gone by the size chart for my shoe size only to be disappointed because the socks felt too short on my foot. Going up a size has made a big difference. I am so happy with the feel of roomier socks!

This is a great sock to wear with my running shoes when I know I am going to be on my feet outside most of the day. The light cushion makes it easier to slip into my shoes. This sock was highly recommended by tourists who traveled by foot all over Europe, so that's when I bought my first pair. . . just before trekking all over England, walking miles every day. Best thing about Smartwool is I never get blisters!!!

Incredible all around socks. Great for everyday wear. The sizing chat is spot on, I have small feet and usually have to deal with lots of excess sock that's uncomfortable. These fit snug without being restrictive or too tight. The material is soft, durable, and amazing at wicking moisture in the AZ heat. And the color is exactly what I was looking for.

LOVE the socks and purchased 2 pairs in addition to the original. However, I gave a 4 star because the socks I bought were available in single pair purchase at the full price. The 2-pair special offer of the exact product was ""out of stock!"" Hm . . . but I managed to buy 2 pairs at full price! I think marketing needs to rethink their plan.

I can't emphasize enough how great these socks are. I am a 60-something woman who has problem feet and the light cushioning is just right to provide that little extra comfort to keep me going throughout the day. I use them with sneakers, boots, etc. They are called everyday socks and that is true - they are the best socks to wear everyday.
