I am 5’9” at 175lbs with an average build. The medium is not too loose and feels great!! The sleeves are tad long but not bad at all. I had the zipper catch a couple times over a past couple days, but that’s me rushing. The cut works very well with my height. The only thing that bothers me is the jacket pitches a tent by the stitching in the midsection of the jacket when you sit down.
Nice Jacket. The waterproof membrane treatment is a big improvement, no more mesh covering the raw membrane. The finish inside and out feels high quality. There is elastic to tighten the hood around your skull, but there is no longer a way to cinch the hood opening. I like to be able to fully seal out the cold and wind and would use this feature especially when not wearing the hood to seal the neck. The waist elastic is only able to tighten via an adjustment slider in the right pocket. If you like it cinched tight like I do, the cord will be very long in your pocket.
Excellent rain jacket, I used it hiking Kilimanjaro last week and it was great. It was light, easy to put on, kept me dry and looks great!
Not suitable for southeastern rain showers. The jacket keeps me decently dry, but water puddles in the pockets. After a moderate shower, there was probably 1/4 cup of water in each pocket, which I don’t know can be attributed to condensation and makes the pockets useless for storage. It also does not breathe well in the humidity of NC.
Great lightweight rain/windbreaker jacket for backpacking. Appreciate the "pit" zippers. I had an older version of this jacket with a wire? in the hood brim that allowed for adjustment of the brim - wish this was still included. Overall a great jacket, would recommend.
Almost Perfect. Good quality, fit, and style in a lightweight rain jacket. Its only shortcoming is lack of a two way zipper which would be extremely useful in a jacket of this type.
Good coat but the zipper always gets hung up at the top unless you have the hood on to keep the zipper lined up. Pretty annoying.
I was just wearing in the wind and cold and it kept me cozy without my Mountain Hardware polar fleece on underneath!
Not sure. It hasn't rained yet. Jacket looks great hanging on my clothes rack.
It fits so well, and the material thickness is just right for a shell.
