Rock and roll through a safe walk

I walk every morning on city streets and need good walking shoes. Usually, I have to settle for running shoes of some kind, but these were actually called Walking Shoes. I had to try them--and I've been very pleased. I've had many kinds of Keen shoes, so I have a positive feeling about the brand to begin with--and now these shoes have made my feelings stronger. Because these shoes "rock" from heel to toe, I feel less likely to catch my toe and fall--which happened recently with my old "running shoes." I doubt that fall would have happened if I had been wearing these Keens because of that rocker design that keeps you hitting the pavement heel first and rolling through your stride without catching your toe. So far, so good! I have had these shoes about two weeks and am thrilled with them.

recommended for Morton’s Neuroma

My podiatrist provided a list of shoe possibilities to treat my Morton’s Neuroma. When I saw the Keen brand listed, I knew to begin my search with your brand. Over the past 15 years I’ve owned the mary jane, sandal (puppies liked these styles and managed to chew them in strategic places), lace up dress, and now the walking shoe. Brand recognition is such an asset for Keen. :) Your website and video sold me on this new design. The wide toe box, moderate rocking footbed, and lightweight cushioning suit me well. Thank you for a great design!

Narrow footbed and toe box +1/2 size long

Narrow footbed and toe box, and runs a 1/2 size longer than the size I ordered. The rolling heel feature extends my heel down (reverse high heel action) to the point I feel unstable and the carpel tunnel in my knee flares up. Not for me. I like traditional Keen hiking shoes with the wide toe box: Kaci or Voyager. These might be good for my aunt who likes to say that she has feet like a pair of “canoes”. I find them to be lightweight, unstable, narrow and too long for my foot.

Different but in the best way

I have high arches and wear these shoes for longer dog walks on sidewalks. These shoes are so supportive at the arch and takes the pressure off the pads of my feet in ways other shoes don't. They feel both firm and soft with a great spring back. The shape of the shoes feels weird at first, but actually do as they say and really help with propelling you forward. I personally wouldn't wear these for errands or as a daily show, but they are a fantastic walking shoe.

Highly Recommend these Shoes for Walking

I have come to really love these shoes. Currently planning to buy another pair. I have several pairs of Hokas that I no longer wear. When I first bought these shoes I returned them! The first pair did not hit my arch properly. I think they may have been a 6.5( the size I wear in a Hoka). I later reordered a 7 and they fit great. I still had an issue with the heel rubbing my left foot into a blister unless I band-aided it. This condition was not limited to the WK450. My left foot is just not quite right so, I do not blame the shoes. Eventually I could stop with the band aides and they are just perfect. I am 66 years old and I walk 4-5 miles several times a week. My feet and legs feel great and I could certainly walk further if I wanted to give it the time. I cannot say I would recommend these for running. They change your balance a bit.

Best walking shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wide feet. I have a hard time finding shoes that don’t hurt my right little toe after wearing them for an extended amount of time. I walk 2-5 miles several times a week and before I get home my little toe is killing me. I’ve tried wide shoes but that doesn’t help. I tried these KEEN walking shoes and so far so good. I love them…my toe does not hurt! Now I can get rid of all the other athletic shoes in my closet.

Great shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice shoe. Just as some of the reviews had stated, there was no breaking in period. It fit well. I love the arch support, something that keeps me buying KEEN shoes. I have now been wearing the shoes for several weeks and usually walk 10 to 15 thousand steps three to four times a week. I noticed the other day that my feet hurt and am hoping this does not mean they are beginning to break down already.

It’s a walking shoe

This shoe, in my opinion, is as it is stated, a walking shoe. For me, it is not a shoe to wear for everyday use. The sole with the ‘rocking’ feature was not comfort for me to wear running around doing errands or even housework. But, again, it is a walking shoe. It’s well made as all Keen products are. I have many types of shoes from Keen, and have been extremely happy with all of them.

Great for Active Days on Your Feet

These are my new airport shoes, great for days when I'll be walking 10k+ steps or for shorter walks with my pups. The curve definitely feels like it adds some pep to my step. I don't love it as much for long periods of standing without movement and I wish it came in a wide but these are my KEEN's of choice at the moment.

Tow box/width

I have a wide foot and I had ankle surgery which gave me nerve damage to my toes. I need a large toe box along with a rocker bottom shoe. I'm a woman but I purposely bought the men's because I figured they'd have a larger toe box and be a bit wider. I love them! Maybe you should give the men's a try 🙂
