Inconsistent quality with defects
Inconsistent quality - I tried on multiple pairs of these and they all fit differently. The most glaring flaw was the rubber sole around the hill - it was cupped outward on the edge towards the ground quite heavily on 2 of the pairs I tried on - this would likely lead to accelerated wear around the edge of the heel as it would be first to drag and strike with every step. Finally found a pair elsewhere that only had this defect slightly one of the shoes. I ended up returning my original pair to REI. The pair I ended up with has the leather cut to different heights on each heel so they feel a bit different on each foot. A good fitting pair is very comfortable, but I cannot recommend unless you try them on in person and are satisfied.
these are great!
the clogs were very comfortable and the best part is I have a choice of either wearing it like a slipper or like a sandal which is pretty cool. I have worn Birkenstocks for a long time and what really stands out for me is the durability of these footwear.
