I love my 100L bag! Great Product.
I love my 100L bag! Great Product. If I had the money, I would buy 10 of each item Nemo makes. I have a lot of Nemo products, and they are all great additions to my gear collection. For the 100L bag, it was much larger than I expected (100L is massive) even having multiple backpacks over the years from 10L to 50L. My 100L bag has been used primarily for overlanding. Things I like about the 100L bag: For its massive size, you can really cinch it down when you don't need all 100L's Giant zippers with a large leash on it. Makes zipping it up when full easier. Multiple handles and backpack straps. Biner loops A huge side pocket, probably 10L's on its own! Excellent material. You can't pick this thing up without noticing it feels and looks overbuilt. I haven't found anything I don't like about this bag yet but will repost an honest review update if I do come across something negative.
A versatile, black hole of a bag
I purchased the 100l Double Haul a couple months ago. So far, we've used it on a week long trip for both my wife and I, as well as, to haul an assortment of gear on various outings. The versatility of the bag is unmatched! I love how we can use it as a duffel, tote, or backpack! As it doesn't have a proper frame, I wouldn't recommend using it for extended backpacking, but it is convenient when your hands are full. As a tote, it is near-bottomless, and perhaps a bit on the large size for most uses. It is very well made, and I expect it will last for decades, rather than just years. If you need a cavernous catch-all kind of bag, this is one I'd highly consider!
Duffel and Tote! Woot
I've been looking for a bigger duffel for a trip planning to Greece and wow this fits the bill. I bought the 100L and it's amazing how big this is. So far I have a few 60-80L Duffel from TNF and Patagonia and love those two. In comparison, this is not as thick as my TNF, but definitely thicker than Patagonia. 2nd, once a few items get tossed in, it's Free Standing!!! With the additional support on the sides, I can easily toss things in. So far I planned a few camping/climbing/biking trips and this thing fits all my gear and clothe I needed. Tote mode has been amazing as it makes everything easily accessible. Can't wait to try the Backpack mode for my flights.
Would love to but can't recommend
Love the concept. Great design. Subpar materials. Whatever stiffener they use in the handle didn't last two trips. It's called the haul. It's supposed to be able to haul all your gear. I was using it to carry my winter mountaineering gear. Total weight in the 40s. On is second outing, while picking it up in the hotel room, the rhandle bent. Can't recommend.
Thanks for your review and feedback! The Double Haul Convertible Duffle is designed to take on tough adventures with you and be repairable on the off chance the adventure is tougher than the Duffle! We'll reach out directly to off warranty support! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and we're looking forward to repairing this for the next adventure!
Outstanding duffel!
I purchased the 100L Double Haul to simplify gear storage and transport for camping and cabin trips. I was NOT disappointed. I could just about fit a small person into this! When I'm not transporting short people, this thing holds everything! My stargazer camp chair, large 4 person tent, sleeping bag and pad fit easily, along with my daughters little camp lantern and some clothes. All of that while maintaining the duffel configuration! Durable material stands up to being dropped and sliding down slopes well (personal experience), and the zipper is beefy enough to really compress things while zipping it shut. If you're looking to pack your whole life into a duffel, this one should be your first choice!
Dual Purpose Duffel
This bag's versatility is unmatched from others I've owned and used. I never imagined I'd buy another after my old Marmot bag but Nemo said, "hold my beer...", and here I am...looking to get a smaller size for different travel requirements. Internal straps snug down loads inside, while external straps give you options on how to transport the duffel. Safe to say this is my new go-to deployment bag. Nemo did a great job showing off the features in their video if you're a mouth breather (like me) and need a quick tutorial.
Wow! This is the BEST Duffle Bag I own!
I own a lot of duffle bags. I’m a seasonal worker in Alaska and the lighter and tougher the bag that can hold my gear the better. A lot of if not most duffel bags on the market can convert to a backpack, but I don’t know of any other duffles that can convert to a huge tote!? My other duffel bags I used when I travel to/from Alaska sit for the six months until I need them. I know this is gonna be used weekly when we go for quick overnight car camping on the flats or grocery trips in Canada and especially laundry. It's is higher quality than Osprey or The North Face duffles I own and more useful than both. There's a big mesh pocket inside the bag to separate smaller things. it’s a very well thought out bag and looks pretty cool. I’ll be using this for years to come.
Easy one bag for trips
I bought this for an eight day excursion hiking the NM and TX national parks. I need something durable enough to handle checked baggage and throwing around a campsite in the desert. The way the bag converts from a backpack to wide mouthed storage tote is very handy. The way it opens up makes staying organized easier than a traditional duffel bag. It is well built and love the internal and external pockets. My only complaint would be the carrying handles should be shorten.
Massive space and excellent versatility!
I purchased the 100 liter thinking I’d rather have more than enough space than not enough—it holds A LOT. I also got this bag for many uses with initial intentions to carry my young son’s ice hockey gear for beginner classes once a week. It worked great for that but there are no ventilation holes so I might not use it as a dedicated hockey bag for multiple days a week for practice and games. The backpack straps are awesome if you need a more stable carry and use of both hands. I found using the opening a bit cumbersome when the bag isn’t full because it tends to want to collapse and close itself, but maybe it’s because it’s the XL 100 liter size. I got the black color and I have to say it’s a bit of a weird black to me because it had a green undertone which makes it look sun faded. It doesn’t bother me nor does it affect its functionality. Overall a very nice and versatile bag!
Massive
I travel between 3 places about 100 miles apart a lot right now staying for several nights at a time for work, school, and pleasure. I can carry everything I need for each trip (clothing, bedding, gear, helmet, ect). It’s so nice being able to grab one bag and take it instead of several and still having loose items to grab. The tote ability takes the cake for me opening it up so I can fit everything.
