This jacket produces an amazing amount of warmth for how incredibly light it is, it's like they invented some space-age material that reflects all warmth yet repels all wind/water. I'm a long, lean guy and the fit on me is perfect, like it was tailored. Moves incredibly easy. The look is mildly rumpled so if you're looking for a slicker, look elsewhere.
The jacket has a sherpa like lining and after washing it, it was not the same. It was not dried neither just washed.
I really loved this jacket when I got it. It’s great at regulating temperature, dries up real quick and overall very comfortable. One major issue at least for me was it get stained very quickly and I ended up washing it thrice in a months time. Unfortunately I spill stuff quite a bit so it’s not a good match for me. I ended up returning it.
My wife purchased this for me as a Christmas present. Instantly turned into my go-to jacket. Form fitting enough for a light shirt; however, gives enough to fit over a sweatshirt or heavier clothing. Fits very well. Definitely worth the money! Own a number of KUHL products and they continue to be my favorite clothing company.
I love this jacket but the material Kuhl used stains extremely easy and the stains do not come out. I wish they would go with a different external fabric.
I’ve been looking for something warm like a fleece, soft and smooth, yet water resistant and stylish, all while blocking wind. This fits the bill! It’s the perfect breathable layer that makes a chilly day an afterthought.
I moved down from an XL to a L recently due to weight loss. This works for almost every jacket and shirt I buy but not this one. Check size if at store and consider ordering a size up if ordering online.
Just the jacket I have been looking for to replace my worn out hiking jacket. Light weight, packs small, and great a keeping me warm. The hood worked great and stayed on with little effort in 30 MPH winds.
Fantastic piece of kit. Took it for a test drive two days ago, 25 degrees fahrenheit, light to moderate strenuous walk through the snow for about 1.5 hours. I was wearing an undershirt, light weight button up flannel shirt and this jacket. To be fair I wasn’t intending to wear this in these conditions but I wanted to see how cold I could comfortably wear this. I was very surprised. I spent most of my time in the shade of bare oaks, I was tracking a couple of bald eagles. I wasn’t toasty warm but I wasn’t unbearably cold either. I would not necessarily recommend to wear it in these conditions for most people. That being said I feel more than confident a person would feel great wearing this super lightweight jacket and tee shirt in the 50s if you’re just casually walking. Definitely a great one to wear with a wicking base layer on a strenuous walk/hike in colder weather. I bought this to take to Egypt in March, highs in the 70s lows in the 50s, because it is super light weight and we will be carrying our gear most of the day and evening. We are photographing birds on the Nile river.
