Durrable and Dry
I wore this jacket for several days of rain in Olympic National Park. It works very well as an outer shell with layers underneath and kept me and my clothes completely dry. The shell feels very durable and the pocket locations are also convenient for wearing a pack with a hip belt or a harness, as they are at chest height.

Cheap Product Design for the Cost
The sipper is a single thread looped around the zipper where a pull tab should have been. This product will fail and I expected more.

Bought, exchanged, and currently fixing

Is it a great jacket? Yeah, when it works. That being said, I've gotten two now. Both time, there have been areas were the DWR finish was non existent. I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning or exchanging the second one, I ordered Nikwax to reapply a finish. I shouldn't have to do that, since its from Patagonia, but I know that they tend to discontinue colors, and I really wanted the pufferfish gold. That being said, the REI CS is great, helped the the return done and shipped out the replacement same day. Also turned me on to Nikwax, which I'm using to waterproof this Jacket, and maintain a North face Hardshell I own.

A good rain jacket with a good chest pocket

Am I the only one that prefers to keep their phone in a chest pocket? I HATE having it in my pants pocket when hiking. I like do deep squat to rest and duck under things. Having to go under my jacket flap to access a pants pocket is frustrating, espectially when wearing a pack. I can't believe how hard it is to find jackets with chest pockets that fit a phone well. This one does that, and is the entire reason I bought it instead of a Torrentshell. Otherwise, the hood fits well and cinches well. The visor is good. It's lightweight and packs well. I like the yellow color with the leather logo patch. The high pockets are accessible while wearing a packet. I would probably like pit zips, but I also appreciate the lack of bulk. Good jacket overall.

Keeps water out, normal sizing, nicely cut.

The sizing is normal. I'm usually Medium in most things but ordered a large because of comments about the sizing, but it was much too big and a medium fits great. I've worn it in Ketchikan and Washington and it keeps the rain out well. I like the hood and collar shapes for wind and rain, and it has a nice fit for wearing as a shell day to day.

Love this Jacket!

Better than expected! I wear an XL in most tops. I got this jacket in an XL and it fits perfect! Just enough wiggle room to layer my Nano Puff jacket underneath, but doesn’t look baggy without a layer either. Very lightweight and the material is a little softer than your traditional plastic-feeling rain jackets which makes it’s enjoyable to wear. I’m a big fan! As mentioned in other reviews, the pockets are a little higher up than your normal jacket, but it doesn’t bother me at all or feel abnormal.

Good shell, normal sizing

It's a nice fit, keeps out water well, and is just a little bit felted for a little more warmth than a windbreaker. The sizing is pretty normal, I'm Medium in most things but initially ordered a large because of things I read but it was much too big, and a medium fits great.

More negative than positive

For starters, the sizing on this jacket is terrible. Men's small has sleeves big enough to stick my leg into and sleeves are several inches too long. Pockets are not well positioned either. Really liked the color, too bad the fit didn't fit.

Bad zipper puller design, product returned

For a $200 jacket, you get tiny little ropes as your zipper pullers. Good luck using them in the cold rain. Product returned
