Keeps cold, but HARD functionality
I love love love the YETI brand. I'm a smart, loyal owner of YETI coolers. I wanted a smaller edition and was sadly disappointed about this back pack cooler. It keeps ice cold with a slow melting of ice cubes- that's a promise guaranteed. The functionality does not meet expectations as the open closure is like a tight envelope opening that barely gives way to loafing large liters of bottles like wine bottles or water bottles. I honestly could only fit 4 bottles ensuring no breakage. The opening is hard to fold and snap into place. I wish YETI would just do a flip opening instead. The magnetic closure is a steady A+ secure.
My patriot M12 backpack
This backpack is amazing. When I’m just going to swing by a friends place for just a little chill time .It’s easy to just throw a sixer in with a cold pack and I’m set. It’s more convenient not having to use my M30 all the time which i do love also. I highly recommend this cooler if you’re looking for simple quick get away.

Great concept, poorly executed. It kept ice cold for a day so I give it that. The closure is very stiff and the buckles are a struggle to close. The inside is a weird shape so it can’t actually hold that many items. It’s nice and comfortable to wear but it’s just too hard to open/close and it’s way too small even for one person. I took it on a small solo road trip and it barely held 6 regular cans and 3 bottles of water with a little ice. It was such a pain to close that I ended up taking out what I would need for a few hours and leaving the rest because I didn’t want to deal with closing it.
M12 backpack soft cooler is perfect for 2 people
I bought the M12 backpack soft cooler for me and my husband when we go to parties and outdoor activities. We used it for the first time last weekend for our son's fraternity crawfish boil in Stephenville, TX. It worked great! It had plenty of room for two people. The outside pocket is limited so I just ordered the attachable SideKick Dry 3L Gear Case. I think it will be the perfect addition to this cooler. I picked this cooler because it was a backpack, I felt like it would make it easier to carry other items going to and from gatherings. So far, after one use, I love it.

The M12 great size can easily fit a 12 pack with 8 lbs of Ice and still have room for a few water bottles! Or even an 18 pack with ice! It is perfect size for day trips and it keeps everyrhing cold for days
