Versatile, Comfortable, and Stylish
If you're looking for a versatile laceless hiking shoe, these could be the ones for you. There's no doubt that these boots look good, and I was surprised at how well they worked for an every day shoe and on the trail. I wore these off and on for a couple of weeks on various hikes and errands, and Forsake has made an exceptional boot with high quality materials. The leather boots were incredibly breathable, while also still being waterproof. I have a pretty flat and wide food, and while it's a little difficult to get my foot in the shoe they fit perfectly. I would recommend going into the store and trying them on or ordering multiple sizes to find the right one. A pair of heavy socks will also fill any remaining void in the boots which helps with hiking, but running around every day any thickness will provide ample comfort. The only short comings of these boots are that they don't do well on mossy or slippery terrain when wet - so avoid river crossings, but you'll be find on light or heavy rainy days. They also don't provide great ankle support, so if you suffer from weak ankles I would not get these. Overall - They are a really nice looking pair of shoes that you could easily be worn out for dinner or around town and you will always be comfortable. Having the versatility of a hiking boot and casual wear was clearly in Forsake's mind with these boots, and while I could wear these all day, I wouldn't recommend them for long hikes. I did up to 5 at a time and could see them possibly getting uncomfortable after longer distances. Also, for those that love companies focused on the environment, they have 100% recycled PET webbing and are a carbon neutral certified company.
Good blend of style and utility
These are pretty stylish shoes that work well for casual outfits in the fall when it’s damp outside. They fit a little bit smaller than the euro size would indicate, but that worked well for me since they didn’t have the half size I needed and I sized up. They’re a little tight on the top of the foot at first, but they broke in in about half a day. Comfortable enough to be on your feet for a while, so they do well for me to be standing most of the day at work and then hit the walking trails afterwards without bringing a second set of shoes. I have wide forefeet and the toe box feels a bit narrow for now, I’m hoping that will break in more with time. They look pretty cool, and the waterproofing seems to work very well.
A stylish & sturdy boot
I’ve been breaking these boots in around the city for a week now, including getting the chance to take them out in the rain. The quality of the materials is top notch, with one exception being the two pull tabs which feel relatively not as sturdy (but not a deal breaker by any means). I also love the styling of these, which can be dressed up or worn as part of a more casual outfit, and their performance in the rain was fantastic (absolutely no complaints there!). Only reason these don’t hit 5 stars for me is the fit. I’d say the length is true to size, but the overall volume of the boot seems to run small, so for me and my high arches (a feature of my feet confirmed by many a shoe sales person), things feel more cramped than I’d like in there. That said, they’re still comfortable (especially with a nice pair of lightweight wool socks), and I plan on using the heck out of these this winter!
Good fit but poor stiching
Overall, I really liked the fit, but the quality is what I felt was lacking. After wearing the boot a handful of times, the stretchy part on the sides began to rip. I am not sure if I received a defective pair, but that was a bit surprising. Overall, the waterproof capability and fit were spot on. I just wish more attention was put on the elastic sides.
I wanted to like them…
I went in with the highest hopes for these boots but they really fell short. Living in Seattle, having a slip on boot by the door to take out the garbage or grab the mail is a must. These boots are anything but a slip on though. The boot opening is narrow to the point that you need two hands to really stretch the elastic on both sides to just start to get your foot in and once the front part of your foot is in you really need to work at sliding your foot in the rest of the way, to the point it gets uncomfortable thinking you’ll break the heal of the boot. I don’t feel like I have a wide foot and fit true to size on most footwear but these boots seem like they were designed much too narrow for the casual wearer. Once you fight to get your foot in the boot and it is the correct length in the toe and arch, they fit tight around the ankle and mid foot. I wore these around for almost two full weeks thinking they just needed to stretch out some but they never did in any significant way. I did wear them in the rain and they did keep my feet dry, so I can say they are waterproof as advertised. The boots were comfortable walking around but standing or sitting in place I would start to feel the narrowness creeping in. I went in really excited to review these and having a new pair of slip on boots but unfortunately these aren’t the boots for me.

Sleek and Rugged all in One!
I love this boot! It is stylish and rugged all at the same time. Comfortable to wear to work and capable enough to wear in rough weather. The look of the boot is stylish and sleek. I wore the boot for a couple of weeks before reviewing and would highly recommend to anyone looking for sharp boot that can handle rain and mud. The boot fit true to size and was comfortable right way without having to have a “break in” period. You won’t be disappointed!
A fun casual boot for all purpose
This is very sturdy boot for a casual use. I wore it for a short hike and walked around town and felt comfortable in all sorts of terrain. The grip is solid on rocks and dirt and still looked cool in the city after. Easy to get into the shoe and really holds the feet snug. Love the feel of leather and also got few complements, which is nice. Excited to try it out during winter to test its waterproof capability. Overall happy with its performance.

Handy slip-on boot
I've been looking for a nice slip-on boot that is waterproof for morning walks when the grass is soaked from dew or a storm and these have done a great job so far. I've had a few pairs of similar boots and these were the nicest looking and I can see myself using them a lot in colder weather. I found them to be a little narrow but still fit and supported well, maybe they will break in more with time.
