I’d been eyeing this for a while, but didn’t think it would really add enough value for the price. I was wrong! The 100L size fits my half dome 4 tent, Nemo sleeping bag (in the mesh storage bag, not compressed), big Agnes sleeping pad, a closed cell foam roll sleeping pad, flexlite camp chair, my dog’s camping bed, my life jacket, and my dog’s life jacket with a little room for more since all of these are softer items. Great for dust-free storage in my garage, but also fits nicely in my trunk.

Seems like it’ll be an okay bin but the color is not the yellow you see. It’s a poopy yellow brown. If you’re familiar with military colors, it’s coyote brown. Bought it to match the rest of my storage system for camping which it does not.

perfect addition to camping organization

These totes are such a practical solution for organizing your gear during car camping, road trips, or other outdoor adventures!!! My favorite things about them: 1. Durability: Made with heavy-duty material, they are designed to withstand rough outdoor conditions and protect your items. I’ve thrown this totes around and set things on top of them no sign of wear. 2. Compact Storage: The slim, stackable design maximizes space in your vehicle while keeping everything organized (the 60L fits perfectly in my 23 Outback but they have other sizes— so do your research) 3. Accessibility: The totes fit seamlessly into a backseat or trunk space, making it easy to access gear any time you need!

Survived a year lost in a frat house…!

I purchased this for my son when he left for college. It was perfect for packing all his dorm linens into, and we flew cross country with it as checked baggage then just transported it on a wheeled folding luggage roller. Once the contents were unpacked and in use, the box folded flat and slid under the bed and out the way. Perfect! The following summer, my son repacked the box and carted it over to his frat house to store for the summer. (I know…). Unfortunately, when he returned in the fall, some emergency building work meant that everyone’s stuff had had to be moved around, and the box was nowhere to be found. He was mad about it, and had to buy all new linens at short notice and some expense. Fast forward to today, when the guys were clearing out the frat house and guess what they found?? Unbelievably, the box and its contents are in perfect condition despite being stashed in some dark grungy out-of-the-way closet in an ancient frat house. Now that’s quality!!

Great Addition For Car Camping

I recently went car camping with 3 other people and this came in so handy. We used it to put the sleeping bags, sleep pads, tents, blankets and anything soft that we didn't want loose in the bed of the truck. I don't believe it said it was waterproof, but it rained pretty good on us on the way up and the water didn't penetrate the material. All of our gear was dry. This was so roomy. I was amazed at how many things we could put in it. Very happy with my purchase.

Great for my dog gear

This bin is very well made. The straps around it make it easy to move. The zippers are strong and work very well. The downside for me was that it wants to collapse if not full up (a nice storage feature when not in use). I was going to return it but I found a cardboard box that fit nicely inside so it holds its shape. I cut cardboard dividers to keep my dogs gear separate from other accessories. I didn’t want to have more cubes to open to get at those things.

Great camping bin for organization

Used this on a multi-day camping trip to store food. It did the job in terms of organizing our car and having one place to sort through snacks and non-cold drinks/food. The handles on the sides and top were handy when carrying and moving it around. If you're planning to carry the bin while full, I'd recommend only placing lighter gear/items in it or having someone else help carry it. Since it is soft paneled, it will sag or cave in if the load is too heavy.

Colossal Amount of Storage

My biggest concern was how rigid the floor of the 140L container was going to be once fully loaded (don't want the middle sinking) but it holds up really well! Perfect for all the small gear you don't want sliding all over the place while on the move. Plenty of handles all over the container as well to make picking it up easy.

Organized and uncluttered car camping at last!

The trailgate gear bin is one of my favorite purchases for car camping in my Rav4 - it fits perfectly next to my car mattress and saves my sanity by keeping my space looking neat vs. having random bags of stuff and gear scattered everywhere. It was very thoughtfully designed - the side straps allow you to pull it toward you in all directions (ex: standing outside at the tailgate vs. in the car on my mattress) and the double zippers mean you can easily open and access your stuff from the front and both sides. I got 3 of the packing cubes - they fit perfectly - and when I’m at a campsite it also holds my soft-sided clothing bag, my backpack, and my toiletries bag - with everything self-contained it is so much easier to find things/grab what you’re looking for - even in the dark in the middle of the night! I wasn’t sure about the color based on the pictures online, but it is a very pretty jewel tone yellow - like a sunflower or goldenrod. At first I was wishing the top had a little more rigidity so it would stay flat even if it wasn’t stuffed full, but this weekend when I had to pack up my site quickly before rain, I appreciated that the give in the top allowed me to cram more things on top of it without compromising visibility out the back window.

Car camping; organization

Really enjoy the trunk (140L). Have a mix of cubes and other kitchen stuff that goes into it to keep it all together. Great for car camping. Well thought out handholds and straps to help smash it down and then keep it small if needed. Robust!

Excellent! Love these!

REI does a great job with its storage items. The monster bins (100L) hold tons of stuff! I have 2 in my car for backpacks, hiking gear, some tools like machete and saw, geocaching gear, mushroom study gear. I have 2 more in my house for Halloween and plasticware store. They are very lightweight, sturdy, good zipper and handles. Might get another one! Highly recommend and I hope REI keeps these around a long time!
