Worked well at -30c on Svalbard

Recently, I completed an 8 day / 7 night ski tour across Svalbard, camping out each night. Day-time temperatures were between -15c and -20c with night-time dropping to -30c. The Enduro batteries lasted longer than my ordinary GoPro batteries.

Don’t play dead

Talk about a fantastic battery! Took these bad boys out in -18 degrees and they worked great! The regular batteries couldn’t keep up. Kept my GoPro Max powered up throughout the cold weather out on a snowmobile. Will definitely be buying more. Highly recommend.

Battery out-of-stock

Called for another battery. I was told the battery may be in stock again in a week's time. No problem. I asked if there was any news on the MAX2. We know it's coming but can't believe there are NEVER ANY LEAKS....ever. They should run our government.

Still froze in Canada

Wether at Whistler or Blackcomb peaks the camera would start to freeze up, as soon as you get to mid mountain perfectly fine, battery life is definitely superior to the original battery but is roughly the same for cold temperatures for the max

Response from GoPro

Chris, Thanks for reaching out. We rate MAX to operate within this temperature range: 14°F ~ 95°F (10°C ~ 35°C). Extreme cold affects all batteries, not just our Enduro line. Here’s what we suggest: When in extreme cold, do everything you can to keep the camera and the batteries covered and out of the chill, until you need to use them. Battery life can vary, but if the batteries are at a moderate temperature they will perform. One thing to know is that sports photographers of years ago, when in such conditions filming competitions, taped the batteries to their skin under their clothes, to keep them warm before installing them in the camera. Hope this helps, -Team GoPro

Much improved!

I used to use 2-3 regular batteries a day while skiing. In severely cold temps, they would barely work,... The new batteries are incredible. I still bought 3,but I'm yet to use up 1 completely! Highly recommend it!
