Things to consider: So if this is Leatherman's top tool offering, here are some things to consider. First it uses the latest technology in a well thought out package. It is expensive but this should be best in class. However I returned mine and this is why: 1. Tool has WAY too many hot spots or thin VERY uncomfortable spots which makes it completely unusable in hard use without gloves. 2. The tools are excellent but seem more for gadget guys with VERY minimal use NOT for any kind of camping where the tool is used for more than a few minutes. The magnets are REALLY cool for opening and closing but they DO open and close IN USE which was annoying for me but could be dangerous in a camping setting when you REALLY need them. OVERALL I LOVE Leatherman and I am pretty brand faithful, the only one that comes close in quality is the Swiss Army Brand, however there is no way (yet) that this even comes close to replacing the Charge tool as top of the line. Sorry I WANTED to love it LOL but it just isnt there yet. Needs ROUNDED EDGES, needs much more robust tools and a little more engineering to make the magnets work better. Good luck and YMMV :)

Worth the price, Excellent fit & finish - BUY IT!

Exceeded my hopes. This ARX is the most fidget friendly tool I own, so fun and well built. I own a number of other Leathermans and this one is by far my favorite, I skipped the FREE series (P2 and P4) and stuck with my Charge + as my daily driver until this came out, so glad I upgraded to the ARC as I love being able to open everything one handed. The pocket clip on this is fantastic and well thought out, unlike the pocket clip on the charge plus I've been using. Looking forward to many years of use out of this, with the wonderful warranty Leatherman offers, I figure the cost broken down over 25 years or so makes it very reasonably priced for a US made top notch tool.

My favorite multi tool

My favorite Leatherman to date: premium steel for the blade, one handed opening, great tool set. My file and saw are hard to open one handed though, and my saw does not fold flush - the teeth briefly hit the side of the handle as it closes. I’ve also not tested the infamous wire coat hanger cutting test yet as I don’t have a wire coat hanger. However, I saw online that to fix the issue (if your wire cutters don’t cut properly) slightly unscrew the wire cutter heads, put a coat hanger wire between the cutter heads to center the cutter heads, then tighten down the cutter head screws. The claim is that doing this will center the wire cutting heads for proper cutting. https://youtu.be/ogBG1xH-lU0?si=Xt_3u1lC2Rl9_Oea

Easy to use

Very comfortable and easy to use. Quality is great like any Leatherman tools. I wish they put rulers on top plate. Dear Leatherman please bring back rulers on every tool you make. Even one inch with 25mm stamp is more then enough. We don’t use those rulers to measure luggage but mostly for small things like tube, bolt and nut diameters.

Best Muti-tool you can buy!

Without being to big and bulky the Arc has every tool you need and nothing you don’t. Great pocket feel EDC. I back mine up with a Leatherman bit extension, extra bit set and a mini ratchet tool carried in a separate pouch…covers all my needs large and small. Yay Leatherman!

ARC can do it all!

I've had this for a couple weeks now and I can say it's a great everyday tool. I use it for a number of stage production uses along with being a great snowboard tool. Looking forward to the weather warming up and carrying it on the trail as well.

Questionable Quality

The Arc I received had VERY loose pliers, there was a noticeable gap in the pivot pin and moving the pliers back and forth sideways caused the tip of the pliers to move by 3mm. Because it is so loose the wire cutters would either bind on each other or have big gap. Not sure how this could have passed any type of quality test. Searching the web this seems to be common problem with the Arc, I have many other Leatherman products that have always been top quality.

This is the one.

Managed to grab an Arc early through REI before the official Leatherman release thanks to Reddit, and have been using it daily since. This is the premier EDC multi-tool. It is entirely operable with one hand. The CPM Magnacut blade is amazing, and flips open with ease after tweaking the pivot a bit. In fact, I no longer need to carry a dedicated pocket knife because I’m so satisfied with this blade. The “common-use” tools come in handy all the time - mainly the pliers, knife, file, scissors, driver and pry tool. The other tools have their uses and I like having them available for whatever random tasks or adventures await. Build quality is 10/10, as is to be expected from Leatherman. I wish it had tweezers and spring-loaded pliers. Also, a more textured handle would be nice. However, the absence of these things doesn’t knock a star off the overall tool, they would just be a bonus. People will defend the Wave until the end of time. The Wave deserves its place in people’s hearts and is undoubtedly one of the best multi-tools ever made. But if you want a cutting-edge EDC tool with a great blade, this is the one. If the cost doesn’t deter you, pull the trigger. It’s always in my pocket, unless I’m using it of course.

Excellent EDC tool!

The Leatherman Arc is an excellent multi-tool! I own over 15 different multi-tools and consider it one of the best. The use of Free technology for one handed use is a game changer in multi-tool ergonomics. I’ve watched some video reviews by the “Chicken Little screaming the sky is falling” crowd about how the tool has issues and my response is don’t buy into the hysteria they’re yelling. The Arc does everything I need it to do for every day carry and then some! I highly recommend it!
